So as you guys saw in here, an LTx brother passed away on Monday from the Detroit area. I didn't know him too well, but he was active on my site and it was a real shock. His viewing is today, which I'm planning to attend.
This morning I got a text message that ANOTHER member from my site passed away, Tom Halley. Tom was the type of guy who would gladly give you the shirt off his back. When he heard I needed help moving out of my parents' house and into my new house, Tom gladly obliged. He waited until we were finished moving out of my parents' house to let me know that he was at the hospital the day before having his wrist ex-rayed because it was broken. Yet he still came over and helped. At my new house, he knew I wanted to take the deck in the backyard down and while I was at work he came over to my house and tore half of it down for me. When I thanked him and mentioned how far away I live from him and that he didn't have to drive all the way over here for that, he said he was in the area at a local hospital having his shoulder looked at because it was all messed up, so after the appointment he popped some pain meds and came over to help. He was an amazing individual that seriously lived life to the fullest -- and knew no fear. I'm really going to miss him. He apparently died of an asthma attack - the ambulance couldn't get to his house fast enough before he passed away. And he was only 26.
