Boosted impala backfires and oil in air piping

Ok this may sound stupid but im stumped and I have zero scanning abilities I really do not have much experience with turbo stuff my cusin has a rear mount turbo on his 96 ss impala it's a forged 383 with cnc cut LT4 heads and a custom boost cam not sure of any specs he had a speed shop in detroit do the work and he lost all the info and they changed owners so it's crazy but anyway he has a po100 code and a p1441 this thing backfires high in the rpm and feels down on power change plugs helped I think his wires are in need of replacement but he is stubborn ass hell im working on that im trying to find a scanner to barrow soon as possible he has oil lining the intake pipe and throttle body we changed the mass air seemed to have helped for a little wile im thinking he already killed it with the oil problem sts said something about a valve in the turbo that might be stuck . Thanks for any input and I hope this is the rite spot for this .

Hymmm. Is there oil all the way back past the MAF? Coming from the turbo? P0100 is a MAF code. I wonder if he blew out a turbo oil seal (from not running a oil restrictor on the turbo oil feed line... or a blockage in the return line...) and has coated the charge lines and everything down the line with engine oil. Thus wiping out the MAF...

P1441 is an EVAP code. Does he still have the EVAP solenoid valve connected? Is is functioning?

Has he had a tune? Backfiring up top could be a fueling, tune, voltage or ignition system problem... Many possible problems :/

the evap solenoid is still there and seems to be working is there a way to check ? the return piping is completely coated and im sure that's what is killing the mass air . The oil return does have a restricter not sure on that being plugged yet . StS said that there's a spring and valve that can get junk in it and cause the same problem we will no more about after we talk to there tech guy. He has the battery light coming on at like 6800 rpm and he has rebuilt his alternator twice and when the car brakes up and backfires it wont shift unless he backs of fo a second . I was tuned and was fine before . He also put a battery in the trunk . Another thing I think he effed up was he played with the boost adjustment and has no idea if its rite now and the gauge is not reading ten pounds anymore its lower about 8/9 now .

If there's oil blowing thru the intake pipe would oil residue be sucking into the opti and causing an issue.

Oil feed line to the turbo should have a restrictor... not the return.

Pull the valve off and blow through it. If you can blow then its clogged and should be replaced. You can also check for continuity on the coil of the valve.

6800rpm is pretty high for a factory alternator. Sounds about right that it stops charging that high. If possible take a data log and see how much voltage drop you get up top. But FWIW I think there are larger problems here other than a high RPM charging issue.

I'll look into that stuff . I have been sick latly so i haven't had a chance to play with the impala he took it apart and parked it because he is trying to get his mud bogger done really fast as soon as we get it back up on the hoist I'll post more. by the way thanks for the replys.
