hows it goin recently i found a powerdyne charger with all the tubing and a set of 30# venom injectors on craigslist. The super charger is only a 4.5lb blower but is pretty new and so are the injectors. the kid said he installed them then blew his tranny after around 300 miles put on the stuff then ripped it all out. he wants 900 for everything do you guys think this is worth it?
thanks

never heard of venom injectors...
I'm always weary about buying used blowers/turbos unless I know the person or They've JUST been rebuilt.
Write a contract up would be my best advice stating that if there are defects with the blower unit that he is liable for the repairs.

the venom injectors you can get right out of summit and probly other places. And the dude sounds pretty cool he said if i have and issues wen i recave the blower i can send it right back to him.

Either way, you might want to get that in writing. Otherwise it's a good start for a stock motor with a blower

900 is good considering they were about 4 grand new. I have heard some ppl say the internal cog belt is a weak point. I agree with ryan, never buy a use Blower/Turbo unless it is rebuilt or can even be rebuilt. for 900 bucks i assume it is well used.. May not be worth rebulding?? just my 2 cents

Powerdyne sucks, I used to have one before I went turbo, I don't recomend it unless you dont want to boost any thing over 6psi, I had a 9si pulley and never seen more than 7psi and that was at 5800 rpms.

well the motor isint stock its a 355 line bored eagle crank lunati pistons rods comp came trick flow heads 62cc crane cams 1:6 rockers. and wat i was thinkin was that the tubing may be worth it even if the blower wasent good. i wonder if i can use the tubing for another brand blower. im in the process of looking for one because i have the 62cc heads not that good for a n/a motor and rather buy a charger then new heads.

My friend has one on his bolt on 96 z28 and it seemed to move pretty good again my T/a but that was just a bolt on car, he seems to be happy with it, you can't even here the thing at all.
I havent ran him in the termi yet though.

The main problem with those blowers is reliability. The internal cog is a weak point, but so is the bearing set. If the bearings go bad and the wheel contacts the housing, the whole thing is junk.
Besides for a non-stock motor, it'd be almost pointless. Power gains from 6psi are minimal as well
