search produced nothing.

My stock alternator doesn't seem to be able to keep up w/ the rear mounted battery. My car has the smaller alternator since it was a no option car. My theory was to get the 140 or 200amp alt that would have been used on the fully optioned car.

Any ideas on what I should use?

i'm also about to go to a higher compression rated starter since the stocker is dead, so ideas on that one is welcome as well although I've got it narrowed down on the starter choice. No idea on the alternator choice.

Thanks!

Haha I'm guilty of doing the same.

As for the thread starter, if the problem hasn't been solved yet. You should check the voltage at the alternator and at the battery. There should be no problem charging or starting from the battery as long as you ran at least 0/2 awg wire. I suspect either a faulty alternator or wiring....

I would suspect the wires myself. Even a small alternator should be able to properly run/charge a car if you have the radio off, a/c off, lights off, etc, etc.
