well some of you may know but i had to put my boxer down last april,his name was henry alexander cowick and he was 12 yrs old,,he lost his fight with cancer,,,he was my best friend for sure,,couldnt have asked for a better dog..been looking through craigslist lately and just seen this little guy,,how can i say no to that face?

^^ yeah i think weve been through this before so i wont beat it to death but in my oppinion its all about how you raise them,,hell i can get a cocker spaniel and teach and raise it to bite your leg off,,

They are awesome dogs! my uncle had a 13 year old male named scarf that went everywhere with him before he passed away in sept. Everytime I brought the T/A over scarf would come stormin out of the house wanting to go for a ride.

Congrats on the new dog! I have a bull terrier (the Target commercial dog), and even though he is a "bully" breed that in some cases like pit bulls or dobermans has gotten a bad name for their temperment, they all can be great pets that are safe to have around little kids. Its all in how you raise them and train them. You do have to be carefull not to hit them to train them. A good method we used was to put the dog in "timeout" whenever he was being punished. Dogs are like little kids, they really just want attention, and to deprive them of that is what they hate the most. Timeout meant that the dog would be put alone in a hallway gated up, or a room left alone. It worked great.

thanks guys,,im glad i did it,,the kids are super exited and that always makes me happy:heart::D

on the name,,for some reason i like the people names a little more than "dog names"
when i named my boxer henry everybody was kinda like, henry?for real?,,but he was definatly a "henry" and when he got in trouble i would give him a "HENRY ALEXANDER!!"
lol,my son wants to name him beason due to jon beason for the panthers is his favorite player

nothing unexpected,,he's actually been pretty good about going to the bathroom,,its been 12 years since i had a puppy but its coming back to me,,i decided to let wife and kids do the naming since i was having such a hard time,,they just decided on first name Charlie middle name Daniel,,what do ya think?

He looks like it but you never really know unless you have papers.
Im suprised he wasnt begging to sleep with you. Pits have a habbit of that. One of mine has to sleep on the bed under the covers ever since he was a pup, and the other sneeks up everynight after we fall asleep. lol

^oh he definatly wanted in the bed,,i dont mind but with it being first night and all i didnt want to wake up in a warm puddle,,lol but he only whined a few times and he would lay his head back down and sleep,everytime you pick him up he wants to curl up in your lap and snooze,,,
