I was comming home from work, and the roads were wet from all the rain earlier in the day (which was not good for my shitty tires). I was getting on the on ramp to the highway which is a 270 degree turn. At the bottom of the ramp all the rain was colecting. It wasnt deep, but it was still pretty wet. So as I just about get off the ramp and onto the highway, I hit the water, the ass end of my car slid out from under me (during rush hour traffic), and I hit a guard rail head on traveling at about 40-45mph, spun around again in a complete circle, and went into a pretty steep uphill ditch. I was thrown around in the car pretty bad, but the seat belt definately helped me out. I was pretty out of it and dizzy after the accident. I luckily didnt hit anyother cars and steered with the way the car was going and didnt try to correct it once I knew I was skrewed because I didnt want to hit any other cars and make them crash by trying to correct it. Less than a minute after the crash, an off duty fire fighter stopped and came over to my car and was a very big help. I was trying to get out, but I wasnt abe to because I was in a ditch. So he called 911 and soon enough the police, fire department, and ambulance showed up. Someone came up with the great idea of taking my T-Top off which helped me out a lot because I had (and still have) pretty bad neck pains and a concussion.
I wasnt able to see my car at the time of the accident, because I was trapped in my car, but I think it was estimated be to like $2000 right now in damage, and possibly more. The car still runs though.
So I went by ambulance to the hospital and they ran a whole bunch of tests on me. I cant believe how lucky I was to be able to have walked away from the accident and that no other cars were involved. I have to wear this neck brace for 2 weeks though from the neck injury.
Just thought I'd share.

Sorry guys.. I dont have any pics of my Formula. I only got a bad quality video of where I hit the guard rail at.

If you pause the video with 3 seconds left to go, and look infront of the electrical pole, thats where I hit the rail. After I hit the rail, I bounced back off, spun around again, took out a sign (which you can see on the ground in the grass) and went up into the ditch after the guard rail ended.
Sorry, I dont have any pics of my car though. And sorry for the shitty quality video.

Wow I'm sorry to hear that, the car will be fine - I hope its you and your neck that gets better.
The point of which the car contacts the road makes or breaks things like that, as I'm sure you knew.. and now really know. I'd get new rubber on that baby asap.

Yeah, I just went and got some yesterday. I had to order them, but they will be comming. They were BFGoodrich Traction T/A's or something like that.

Yeah, thats what everyone has been telling me. But at the accident, I couldnt get out of my car and therefore couldnt see it, So I was trying to get someone to tell me how bad it was. I thought I might be able to get a glimpse of it as the firefighters were getting me out of the car, but that didnt happen. I couldnt see much and as soon as I got out they had me on the stretcher. They were telling me not to worry about it, but being my pride and joy.. I couldnt help but be curious about how bad of condition it was in.
But I've really thought about it and am just glad it happened the way it did. I avoided other cars, and just limited the accident to myself. It really could have and should have been much worse than what it was. Not many people can say they spun their car a total of 540 degrees in rush hour, hit a guard rail on a highway, went into a ditch, didnt hit any other cars, and still was able to get out of the accident in an overall decent condition.

Man... that's no good. I haven't been in an accident quite like this before. Where is the car now? I'm curious to see if it ripped the whole front end off or not.. Sounds like you snuck out of this one with very little harm. Good luck on getting her back on the road.

Its in my driveway. Kinda parked away until it goes to the body shop, maybe early tommrow.
The front of the car help up extremely well. I am truely shocked. Its mainly limited to the front bumper, and sides of of the fenders. There isnt much hoding the rest of the front bumper though, and that can pretty much be torn off. The headlight motors still work though. My cell phone camera cracked, And I dont have another camera to take a video/pic of it. I borrowed a phone to take that video. I'll try to borrow a camera from someone to take some pics before it goes into the body shop.

Wow man, really sorry to hear about that. In the big picture though, it's your life and a car. You got out with the big one for sure, and may save the little one.

Lucky you! Slow down! Even the drive by to show the crash site was too fast.

Perfectly said, the car can be fixed but you cant always...

Glad to hear you're ok. At least the car still runs and it could always be worse.
Did you have full coverage? I didn't see anything if you posted whether or not you did.

Well its a good thing that you had full coverage. If the damage isn't too awful bad, you can probably fix it yourself and the rest of the money can go to something cool.

This man is thinking! If this scenario dawns upon you I'd jump on it for sure!
