Oh did it feel good to fire up the Z the other day...

Due to being away for USAF training for a long period of time (almost 2 years total), I have put away my Z for long term storage.

I fired it up after it has been sitting for over a year now just the other day, and let me tell you, it fired right up and sounded great :D

It was only 17 degrees, and had about 6 inches of snow on the ground, so it stayed in the garage and went back to sleep where it will stay for about another year before it is ready to exit its long term hibernation, but it was really awesome to hear the old girl again :drool:

Theres always someone faster out there, thats nothing new. It'll still take down the majority.

There are some with a bit more power, but as proven before with a 1/4 race from a dig, my car can harness all the power from the get go, where others can't, leaving my car victorious against more powerfull cars.

I have been very impressed with my Z. The time it suprized me the most was when I raced a 10.01 1/4 mile capable Z28, and beat him (in the 1/4 mile). Granted after the 1/4 mile he had me beat, but beating a potential 9 second car was enough for me.

We both know the outcome of a 75 mph roll. I would love to see the outcome of a 1/4 mile race from a stop with just the DR's.

I miss my car too, and its only 15ft from my house. Just to damn cold to go outside.

It's easier for me to be away from it when the weather outside is bad enough that I know I wouldn't be driving it even if I had the opportunity.

Its the summer when everyone is driving around in their F-bodies having fun that really makes it hard.

But that also gives you lots of time to save for mods!!!! Im always jealous when you guys come back and have enough cash socked away for big mods.

I am saving money, but not for mods for the car. Minus a new clutch, and maybe some different headers, the Z is complete and is in no need of future mods. I love it the way it is.

I will be dropping all the loot I have been saving on some property to build my house when I get back.
