Voted 1-2 months. In reality, it's probably only been down for one week in the two years I've owned it. Keep in mind, though, that I don't drive it every day either.

Yeah, I guess when I think about it, it's even less than a week. I think it's gonna run forever.

Meh I'm just glad I can enjoy my toy on a regular basis. I'd hate to have a $5k + vehicle just sitting around in my garage for months, years at a time.

i'd say 5-6 months.. but only because i've had to leave it at my parents while i was at school to finish working on it.
probably about a month's of fixing time if i didn't have to leave it, i've had it for 4 years

Does winter count? If so it'd be about a year...

The trans Am has been on jackstands for a little over a year now. Financial constraints slowed the turbo motor WAY down.
My black t/A that I sold in Dec 06......that one was down for the final 3+ years I owned it. Damn oil seepage problem that was traced to rocker studs AFTER the fact. Too bad too, it had a good set of Joe Prince heads and a nastly little Joe O cam in it.

Other than time its off the road in the winter (and it runs, just doesnt drive) its only been down for a week awhile back (cam install/few other things) and about 2 weeks recently cus I took my time on opti/oil pan/front cover seals. It was time.
Shes been pretty relyable other than that, cant complain.

the only time my car has been down for an extended period of time was 2 weeks at the tranny shop for the rebuild, and it wasnt fully gone when i got it rebuilt, the 3-4 clutches were starting to slip..i guess also the 3-4 days it was in the shop having the radiator replaced..
hibernation is a different story though, lol
it was in a storage unit in phoenix from Feb of 07 till june of 07 and then in my garage here in indiana from nov 07 till march 08

Oh damn this could take awhile.
Bought the car wrecked. Took 2 months to get it on the road.
Car didn't have 3rd gear when I bought it. 2 weeks for the trans rebuild and clutch install. The second gear had a couple of teeth stripped when we pulled it off or else that one would have been a weekend thing.
Hit a deer doing 70+. Car was down for about 7 months between the insurance and finding a donor car. That's when it got painted orange and white.
Stripped teeth off the pinion. 1 week for the rear-end rebuild. Thank god my guy is retired and can do a gear setup overnight if he has to.
Hydrolocked motor- 2 months after finding a different motor and the time to put it in.
That comes out to almost a year if I'm not forgetting anything. That was all the major stuff, though. I've had the car for almost 4 years now.
I gotta quit blowing shit up

I've had my car 8 years, and over all those years, it would probably be about 2 years total that it's been down. It's down right now, has been since April 19th (ironic how that's the same date as the LTx Shootout, huh? lol). It won't be up and running until spring at the earliest. :(

Then I blew the motor had it rebuilt in 7 days had the TA up and running less them two weeks.
Rear end in two days.
Now it's just been in storage for 1 year.
