Nope, i just started on it the other day. Been working on it for about 10 hours straight.

In earlier lid threads I had said that I wanted to make the LS1 radiator support fit, and i just did it.

so Im confused did you just mod the box to fit, or did you cut out the rad support and replace it???

I did the lid install on the car the same way anyone else has done it on an LT1, by cutting the radiator support out. then i modified the LS1 radiator support to fit around it. And by modify i mean i probably removed over half of the original plastic from it, lol. It is also set back a little bit from where it would normally be (to lay the radiator back), and secured there with self tapping screws. Its VERY solid, came out alot better than i expected.

looks good. you gonna paint the "SLP" red to match the rest?

By far the best attempt at putting a lid in a LTx car and making it appear stock.

Looks good, Joel.

Now finish up your rockers, and put the nerf bars back on your OBS. (Sorry had to mention the word OBS in this thread atleast once.)

top end charge?

I haven't driven it yet if youre asking about gains. Streets are full of salt and snow right now, the car isnt going anywhere!

One of the best looking jobs I've seen on that swap. That's how I'd want it done.

What are you guys using to do all the cutting needed? I have yet to seen like a parts/tools list for this, which would certainly help

almost all of it was done with a dremel. ill post a picture of the bit i used the most. I used cutoff a cutoff wheel on the dremel for the radiator support.

Nice work. I've had an SLP lid and a WS6 box laying around. I may get motavated and get this done. My only concern is the WS6 box sits a little higher then the Z28 box due to more air gap between the steel rad support and the inlet of the box (atleast it sits higher then the one on my froinds 01 Z28)

So I may still need to pick up a non ram air box to make it clear the hood.

That would be great, I want to do this but I hesitate to do anything that involves cutting because I'm a big stinky vagina

just realized i worded that wrong. I used the cutoff wheel on the core support, not the radiator support. In any case im working on the writeup right now, i should have it up in an hour or so.
