yeah ive been hearing nothing but talk from the ford fan boys about this.lol@ the auto getting better mpgs than the manual.Im guessing its gonna be heavy too.Yeah it sounds good on paper.Im not scared, my 17 year old lt1 will gladly beat on them still.

Before you guys say it's heavy, the manuals will tip the scales at just over 3600lb according to a Ford press release, this cars over 200 lbs lighter then a 1SS Camaro. Don't be suprised when these cars are running in to the 12s off the show room floor. Cars also breathe to 8K RPM, factory limited at 7K and they come with headers stock also. Don't write them off just yet, from tech, here are the weight break downs

Manual GT Coupe =3603
Auto GT Coupe= 3658
Manual GT Vert = 3720
Auto GT Vert = 3770

if they will be in the 12's, it will take a few bolt ons for an lt1 to beat it.

If it's only 3600, then it'll move great. I figured on it being at or over 4000 lbs like the Camaro and Challenger.

It will definitely have a weight advantage over the new camaro and challenger. I'm glad they're putting 5.0s in 'em again. Not scared though.. still a Mustang.

They are also solid rear axle. What I like about Ford is you can still order different gear sets from the factory, 3.73s or 3.55s. No more 5 speeds in '11, they have a getrag 6 speed, you can also get brembos. Basically after sitting on their ass with the regular GT for the last 17 years their finally putting the heat in them. Just happy Detroit aint dead and their still brining heat in a world of plug in hippie machines
