what did you get for christmas?

we actually did our presents on tuesday because my grandma was in town and had to go home wednesday to drive down to southern illinois to go to my aunt and uncles house who have a 10 year old cousin (we're the older ones, 33, 30 and 24)

I got an xbox 360 elite from my dad and a $40 best buy gift card from my grandma. I actually paid for half of the 360 and got the other half as my xmas present from my dad. we did the $349 bundle with the $50 gift card which he is going to use but i got the xbox and the 2nd controller.

i spent the $40 BB gift card on GTA expansion mission combo game (doesn't require the original GTA IV which i didn't need since i have it on PC)

i also got Forza 3 from my younger sister (i asked for this one knowing i was going to somehow get an xbox 360)

My older sister gave me $100 cash which i prompltly gave $40 back to her because i owed her $40 for my part of my dads gift which i was going to give her a check for but cash made it easier, lol. the rest of the money and some of my own is going for new contact lenses and an eye oppointment since i only have ~ 3 months supply left and am over a year since my last exam.

I then bought myself a little bit of a present because i ordered Stuntman ignition on amazon for $2.99. it cost me more to ship than the game cost, lol. total price w/ shipping was $6.97.

My dad's gift that i paid for part of and then was going to install is a bluetooth phone system for his car that attatches to the rear of his aftermarket JVC head unit that he installed a few months back when his oem unit died. he ended up just sending me to best buy to have them install it and i paid for it and then he bought me a year subscription to xbl at BB later (he was gonna pick it up at cosco for $40 but they were sold out)

ironically one my mom's sisters sent him one of those Jupitor jacks that billy mays is always hawking on TV. he is glad that he has a real system and isn't going to have to resort to using that thing, lol. i might try it for the hell of it though.

Some small stuff from my mom. My dad's paying me for a computer part I bought myself a couple days ago. That money + the money my brother gave me will go towards January's rent.

I was extremely excited to see my grades yesterday, that was perhaps one of the best gifts, besides being home with family for a few days.

My wife, bless her, really tried. She got me a Blu-Ray player and a DVD HTIB setup for upstairs. She admitted that she really didn't research them though, and that because evident when the BP didn't have Netflix capability and the HTIB didn't have any inputs on it, so you can't hook the BP to the HTIB. But, she said she got them just to get them under the tree and we'll take them back and get other stuff. So we talked about it, and I'm going to get a 32gb iPod touch and we're going to get a Samsung Netflix enabled BP instead and fore go the HTIB considering we've got a KILLER setup in the basement and what's in our living room is destined for our bedroom when we move to our next base anyway.

She on the other hand got a well thought out present from me, that being a HP Touchsmart Laptop that she's wanted for a couple of years now.

My parents bought me a new blanket, a HESS gas card (:metal:), floor mats for my trailblazer, a 5 month subscription to XM radio, paid my truck payment, and a new pair of shoes

My brother bought me some cologne

And my grandmother gave me $25.

I bought my brother some alpine gloves or something like that for his bike, my father some comfortable slippers & dockers wallet, and I got my mother and grandmother a scarf/glove/hat set & slipper set for each.

I also told my parents and brother that I'd do a full detail on their cars/bikes come spring time.
