I have a 93 Z28 that came stock with the bose system. So far, I've replaced the two front speakers with Polk components and added 2 10" subs in the hatch as well as a cheap JVC head unit. Since it only has one set of preouts I had to piggyback the amps to work with it. I'm getting a new head unit with 3 sets of preouts (front, rear, sub), and I'm interested in adding speakers in the backseats. I still have the stock speaker in the hatch with the bose amp... what would I have to do to make all of this compatible? I want to remove the back speaker and add the two... I'm just a wiring noob and I've been told that the bose system messes with everything when you try to go for an upgraded system so I'm trying to avoid complications if possible...

Also, any recommendations on the back speakers? I was thinking just some mid-priced 2 ways.

2 ways are find they are 6.5 speakers. your radio will power the 4 speakers and you have an amp for the subs i assume. just disconnect the bose sub it is junk anyways.
