1997 TA with bolt-ons
Mac- mids and ORY
Borla with cutout closed
MSD 6A
Moroso CAI
Air Foil
Aluminum elbow
MSD Wires
Stock tune
87 Octane
160 thermostat
Auto with a HD convertor in it.
Any head work is unknown but the 1st owner of the car had a retainer drop and might of had some work done but the 2nd owner was unsure.
It is the stock Opti as I found out. The breaking up above 5100 might be from a spark plug that I just found that was almost back all the way out. I heard an exhaust leak and could see the plug wire bouncing up and down.

Yeah Im very happy with the motor espically having 155k on it. I cant wait to get a tune in it.

you really need to run 93 octane. These cars are made to run on 91+. Especially after a tune which is going to raise your timing and you'll end up with knock if you don't run 91-93.

You might even be getting some retard now

The guy has run it on 87 for the past year but he really hasnt driven it much. I know it needs 93 so when it hits the road it will have it. I didnt hear any KR when it was on the dyno but I know its still possible.

Couldnt Imagine running it without 93, I did once, left the wallet at house and had 1.25 in quarters had to go 14mi to next gasStation and house. Very nice to see over 265rwhp with 130K mi+! change those plugs:hmm: and well see what is throws down.

Yeah I changed the plug yesterday. I get free dyno time since I worked at that shop for 3 years, just gotta find some time to make it over there now.

Nice numbers, especially for that high mileage LT1. Keep us posted with any "upgraded" numbers when you solve that plug wire issue. :D
