I just installed my nitrous outlet singke nozzle wet kit and was wondering on how i should set up the window switch for the best performance and safety. I was thinkin first and second gear locked out and spray form 3k to 6k. Does this sound alright to you guys?

Theres absolutely no point in even running spray if you're not gonna spray 1-2.

Believe me, I used to be like you not wanting to spray in first, etc. That lasted about... 1 pass lol.

Set your window switch low at 3000 and high 200 rpms below your rev limiter and equal to or close to your shift point.

For example I shift at 6300ish, limiter is 6400, window sw at 6200...

Spray that shit straight out the hole and hold on...

i don't want to spray in first or second is because i have trouble hooking up without the gas on it much less if an extra hundred horse is added to the equation.

I say just lock it out of 1st gear.
Unless you have a strong enough rear the 10 bolt will break on you.
You should be fine once you hit 2nd.

Mine is set at 3000 - 5800. I'm running a stock converter and with the window switch at 3000 I have enough roll out before the spray comes on to still keep the 10 bolt "reasonably" safe.

Any suspension mods? What tire are you running now?

Yeah, you need drag radial at least. Use a pair of your old wheels and throw some MT ET Street radials on them. If you have an auto trans the 10 bolt will hold for awhile. M6, maybe on borrowed time. I cut 1.60 60's a few times on my 10 bolt before I replaced it (still in 1 piece when took it out!)

"The 10 bolt will break on you".

Thats a pretty definitive statement, that I have many passes spraying in 1st to prove otherwise.

Yea there are some lucky ones, but I have even seen for myself the 10 bolts breaking on stock power as well.
