I don't see it being a problem as long as it doesn't throw off your valvetrain geometry (makes the rocker sit at different height). Are the ARP's longer as in there is more thread material?

nope no problems, the length doesnt make a shit of a difference, the only prob is if your geometry is so fatr off that the rockers sit so far down that the poly lock "lock" wont screw in... but that will never happen unless your machinist REALLY had an off day lol. just DONT use the stock style self locking nuts on them as they arent designed to work together

lol it will sound like a cammed lt1. but yea i didnt have that problem with brits poly locks on the same studs. there also the same studs that are on my heads. as long as the tighten ur good. yes i got rained out too.
I'm using ARP 7/16" rocker studs with my Comp Cams Pro Mag 1.6 rockers and no problems. I spin the biotch to 7K sometimes and they are fine. My alternator belt had a different opinion on that once, but the studs/rockers didn't.

FYI I used arp studs and tried to use ARP polylocks and they were both a hair taller than stock and they interfered with the valve covers, switched back to my comp poly locks and everything seated fine

What part #s were they? Because I've seen a couple different part #s floating around for studs and poly-locs, some with different heights.
I have 135-7101 studs and 300-8245 perma-locs, and they fit fine under stock VC's (both 7/16").

I actually don't, i tried looking up my old summit order but they dont have it, it was a few years ago. I do know they were 3/8" parts though

Poly lock interference with the underside of te valve cover could be the result of the lifter preload setting. Less preload settings let the poly locks sit higher.
When I swapped heads recently on my son's 96 LT1 Vette, I went with 7/16" ARP studs that are 1.900". I wanted more poly lock thread engagement. Covers fit without any modification at all.
