New fellow LT1 owner

Hello guys/girls, I'm new to this site. I'm known as "evildragon" on ls1lt1, but I've kinda left that site.. 31camaro referred me to come here, and hopefully it's good.

My car:
1994 Chevrolet Caprice Classic LS

Originally had an L99, had it swapped to an LT1 (B-body cast iron model)... It has the RAISS ram air intake, flow master exaust, and is a nice car. It's still a WIP and of course, I fix one thing, another thing fails. Recently the heater core hose burst a pinhole leak and I fixed that temporarily with gorilla tape..

I enjoy greatly hanging out with other LT1 owners, despite being the outcast with a B-Body and not an F-Body..

That's what I got there, but it was completely unwarranted (admin played a prank on my account by changing my avatar, i got upset, he banned me), and thus I'm not even going to return..

Hi everybody, i'm glad somebody came back and told me about this little thread. I'm not here to flame anybody or wage a war, just to clear the air and state some facts on how this situation was handled.

First, i've always believed in the phrase "if you can't take it, don't dish it out". I'm a very fair person and if I wanted to "go on a power trip" I certainly wouldn't go about it on a forum that I don't even own. I'd just simply do it in real life since it is more satisfying that way.

Here is the situation on exactly how it came about and was handled.
About a month ago the "Shut up woman get on my horse" flash movie was posted on the forum i'm an Admin on. I had never seen it and the member that posted it said "wait till the end, its the best part" (or something similar symbolizing that something else happens at the end) So I watch the movie 20 times and I quit and post up saying that nothing happens and the OP had decieved us, just a little prank. So Brandon here posts up something about watching the movie 20 times to see the horse's penis. I made a little comment back and that was the end of that. A month later he changes his avatar to him wearing headphones and in his sig was the explanation of the headphones. By the horse penis comment I ASSUMED that since he could dish out a joke about me watching a movie for a horse penis, he could take a little prank I could pull on him. So I changed his avatar to that very same horse and edited his sig a little bit to read something along the lines of "me still sporting my 40 year old pioneer headphones etc. etc" I was in the wrong for doing that but I thought it would have been taken a bit lighter.

So I come home from work to see a PM from my head boss, and a thread from Brandon stating that "his account had been hacked by a staff member and its unprofessional and they should grow up" (summarizing) My boss tells me not to do it again and I am furious that Brandon would even think about taking a little joke that way after what was said to me.

So, there was a lot of discussion among the higher ups that night after multiple PM's were sent back and forth with him and my boss of him basically arguing and trying to get me kicked off of the staff for this little prank. We later revised all the arguing he had done previously with multiple members in one day. I'm talking 3 different threads, 3 different members, in one day. Arguments that involved which one was better a cheap voltmeter, or an expensive voltmeter, arguments that involved him bring situations from YouTube and broadcasting them on the forum, and just multiple other arguments and other infraction deserving acts that just throw everything over the top. So, we issued a 7 Day ban.. thats it, just a week. And he comes on the forum here and acts like we Perma-banned him. 7 days from the existing ban date and he can come back to post if he wants.

As stated, I'm not here to start an argument. Just stating the facts and clearing both my name and the forums name, not starting any trouble at all. I respect all LTx, LSx, V6 and all F-body forums and members the same, but a person building false stories of deceit is something I cannot respect.

Hi, for those that don't know, I'm the owner of http://www.LS1LT1.com, the site that is being trashed in this thread.

I think somebody needs to step in here and correct your statements. There's nothing quite like someone spouting off on the internet without all the facts.

An admin did play a prank on you...changing your avatar out for that of a clown. That much is fact and is not in dispute.

Further, you PM'd me to tell me you were not pleased. I got in contact with the staff person responsible and action was taken to ensure it would not happen again.

However, that was not the end of it. After the two of you continued to bicker via PMs, I went back and looked at my own PM inbox and re-discovered at least three separate occasions where you have PM'd me to complain about other members verbally "attacking" you. I am not the only staff person you have PM'd to complain about supposed attacks from other members. You are a walking drama factory.

Most of the time the threads are purely a debate, but you cannot seem to separate debating a fact or an issue from a personal attack.

I am the one that banned you, not him. That is your first error/untruth. The second one is more of an error of omission. You are not permanently banned from LS1LT1.com, it was a 7 day temporary ban, which was done to see if the drama that seems to follow you around would cool off with you away from the site for 7 days. That was explained to you in the ban reason which you should have seen when you hit the site after being banned. Today in fact the ban should be automatically lifted.

Now that you've gone on another board and trashed us, I'm not particularly inclined to allow you back, but at the moment I have not perma-banned you. I may change my mind.

Next time you go running your mouth about my site you need to be sure you have your facts straight first. Thank you and good day.

I PMed you back, show the screenshot if you want, but I never said ban CKJ as what's being made to seem.

I walk away from computer, come back, BANNED. Well gee, I was banned from that? That was the entire playbook on what happened. With the ban message "trouble seems to follow you". Follow me? I've been harassed, and so has other members on that forum, by your staff.. Other members have left, others have gone quiet about the matter.. Feel free to go into my account and look at my sent PM's, you'll find that I never PMed CKJ back, and no sent PM to CKJ that day was deleted in the security log either..

Only thing I left out was that I made a thread on that site, upset, but not MAD, and other members agreed that whoever responsible should come forward. That thread got moved without keeping the "moved" link, as if it never existed. So, only ones butt hurt are the staff of ls1lt1, not one other person.

Well agree to disagree guys. I went through something very similar here....kinda.... either way it ended up in a 7 day ban.... Although while I was banned I had all types of angry thoughts of WHAT I would do when I return, or WHAT I would do at the LTX shootout etc.... but time goes on... you get over it... ehhhh whatever, you know????

The best I can suggest, from someone who has been there.... AGREE to DISAGREE, and in time... you will see, you will all get over it.....

And it NEVER hurts to have both sides. But one thing that I have noticed is that unless you are completly UNattatched to an incident, emotions will never allow your "side" to be completly accurate. Nor will the opposing sides account.

Like I said, I tried plenty of times to argue my point prior to me getting banned.. and Im sure the people involved can attest to this.. everyone wants their point to be the "right" point and the emotions just wont allow you to step away from that mind set...

What's frustrating is you have an incomplete set of facts and refuse to hear anything different.

It is also frustrating that you asked me to fix the problem and you don't expect me to go to CKJ about it? How else am I supposed to address it? You think its rocket science for him to know that you came to me to complain? I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just don't understand the point you are trying to make...there was no way for me to correct him without him knowing it was you, because to my knowledge you are the only one he played the prank on. You seem to expect to be a tattle-tale and not suffer any consequences. What it is you wanted me to do about the situation? I've chosen to totally ignore the root issue, which is you getting butt-hurt over a harmless practical joke that the staff often play on each other. You should have been flattered to get that much of CKJ's attention, and if you didn't take yourself so seriously there would have been much more adept ways to handle the situation, such as simply laughing him off...

I am happy to let bygones be bygones, but let the record show you are the one that came to this site and started dumping on my site. I would have had more respect for you if you had decided this BEFORE coming here and mouthing off.

Its Christmas time and I have more important things in my life than e-drama and who did what to whom on the internet.
