My SES light came on and it's pulling 3 different codes. The vehicle is an '02 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L.

P1860 TCCPWM solenoid electrical fault
P0785 Transmission 3-2 shift solenoid
and one more I can't remember what it isbut I'm pretty sure it had to do with the TCC solenoid as well

Could this be a bad connection or faulty wiring or something? Reason I ask is I had a remote start with keyless entry installed yesterday and all of a sudden the SES light comes on with the above codes. I'm curious if while in there messing with stuff if they could have made some bad connections or knocked something loose. Or is this something totally different and not even close to where they would be working?

P.S. The also took nine hours to do the 3-4 hour job, killed my battery and broke my steering column (plastic cover piece) but that besides the point. Just very unhappy with the service.

Wow that sucks! Have you tried looking under the dash and seeing if you can find where they ran wires. You may be able to find a bad or loose connection that way. My initial response was take it back to the shop that installed the remote start but it sounds like they didn't know what they were doing in the first place. I wouldn't think the trans wires would have anything to do with the remote start unless they are somehow using the safety switch to ensure the trans is in park before powering the starter. You haven't gone off roading or bottomed out your truck since the install have you?

I forgot to mention that the truck hasn't been running right either. Its sluggish from a dead stop feels like it needs to downshift when ar normal speeds. I just took my son to wrestling practice and just used the key to start it. It ran fine so then I tested it out. When i start it with the remote, it runs like shit. When i start it with the key, it runs great. Ultimate Electronics will be getting a 10th call from me tomorrow.
