I am looking at becoming a Dealer for Race Star industries. But before I do, I was just wondering who all would be genuinely interested in a set of these wheels. They are proven to fit over the rear brakes of a LT1/LS1 and now come in the right BS (7.5").
This thread isn't about pushing the product, just more of a feeler to see who would REALLY want a set before I decide what is the best move to do.
Thanks guys

You realize that even if you gauge interest and get interest, and decide to be a dealer for these people, you need to be a sponsor here before you can advertise correct?

Yes. I have talked with FastBird about the subject and if this does work I will become a sponsor before advertising on the forum.

Thanks Chippy. I can't really post a price yet without being a sponsor. I have an idea of what they will be, but have a little more research to do with shipping and lug nuts. I could get a quote pretty close, but like I said, I can't really post anything until I decide to go through with this. They will be competitively priced however.

No problem man.
But WTF?! No post about this on KSFBA? You might get a few of them interested over there as well. Hell, I would be interested in them just to make the car look like it's fast...

LOL KSFBA is a BS site. I've almost never had any luck selling anything on there. But it is fun to get on there and BS with everyone LOL.

I've always liked the ProStars and Telstars. These are just as nice w/o fitment issues, so I too would be interested.

Do you have to grind the calipers?

The problem with the Jegs/Summit knock offs is that you still have to grind your calipers. The fronts fit fine but the rears need to be ground. Also, these wheels are almost just as light as the Prostars. They will be closer to the 700 range for just wheels.
Do you have to grind the calipers?
No, you do not. They will fit the front and REAR without any grinding whatsoever. There are already a few people who have received them and they fit perfect over the rear LS1 caliper. If they fit a rear LS1 caliper, they will for sure clear the LT1 caliper.
One other nice thing about these wheels, they are a uni-lug style wheels. A 15x8 with a 5.5" BS will fit a 5x4.75, 5x4.5, and a 5x5 bolt pattern. They only thing you need is to change out the washers on the shank style lug nuts. Centered being the washer you need for F bodies, and offset for the other two bolt patterns.

isn't this who bought the rights to greg welds?

Yup^^^ Mine are actually GWs and I had to grind the hell out of the rear calipers to make them fit.
I will be buying a new set of rears so I can put on new rear calipers for pc of mind.

I've been discussing some issues with Mike at Race Star. It's getting closer and I should have a definite answer by this weekend.

I've been discussing some issues with Mike at Race Star. It's getting closer and I should have a definite answer by this weekend.Mike is who I bought my GW's from, one of my mustang friends is friends with him.
I was going to put the set of GW's I have on the front of my firebird and pick up a set of RCI's in 10" for the rear through Mike, but decided to stay on the stock wheel for now for a sleeper look and my room mate got the GW's from me for his lexus to match the rears he already has.
Good luck, I had the GW's on my formula before on both front and rear before anybody else did, I LOVE how they look. :hail:
