So I am going through some of the old videos that I saved and I remembered how much this one made me laugh (ESPECIALLY AT THE END)
I am totally impressed by the talent and timing....

"opossum on a gum bush....."
:jest:
they each had their own phrase like that
cledus used to say "buzzards on a buzzsaw!"
and Rosco said
"Judast priest on a pony!"
Although i think my all time favorite rosco phrase was in a 7th season episode where sheriff little tries to hold rosco back so he can go in front of him and he yells "Woah! Hold it Colbrain!" and rosco replies "The name is ColTRANE there ain't no brain in it!"

 i remember that one. and then waylon jennings says something like "one way or another, Rosco is gonna have to buy that girl a new bike"
I like the one where boss hogg is running for re-election and loses and jessie says "you know something JD, you might have won this election except for one thing, Rosco P. Coltrane forgot to vote"
 oops.
another good one was only heard in the early episodes when boss would say "you better, or else you will be..." and rosco interrupts him and says "the night rent a cop at the drive in deli on frontage road"
I just popped in the season 6 episode called "a baby for the dukes" where boss takes away their cop cars and puts them on horses and says "i hope you can ride because you're now going to be known as the Hazzard County Mounties"

i was in front of the TV every friday night. I'm 30.
Speaking of being too young though, i remember talking to a kid a few years ago before the dukes movie came out (so like 02 or 03 or something) and i mentioned the dukes of hazzard and this kid gets this confused look on his face and says "what's the dukes of hazzard?" right then i felt old

LOL i forgot how bad some of the continuity on this show is. the bad guys are driving a 78 chevy malibu which IIRC doesn't have roll down rear windows (like a k-car) and in the closeup studio shots it's a chevy nova and Rosco shoots his gun in the air out of the back window which couldn't be done on a 78 malibu. I guess thats why the nova was used for the closeups, lol. Its really obvious when they go from the closeup where the car has all the windows down on the green screen to when it's being driven in real life and then the back window is closed.

I remember Mr Belding , from saved by the bell was a bad guy named ELMO on the show....
actually, he was on there more than once.
He was Elmo in the season 7 ep where cale yarborough comes to hazzard and he was also an unnamed charactor in the pilot for the series. he's the dude who grabs onto daisy in the boars nest in the pilot that starts the bar brawl. He has really long hair in that ep and you don't really notice it's him but i've seen it posted somewhere and confirmed the name on imdb or something like that.
I was watching the ep "cool hands luke and bo" the other night which is also a season 7 ep and Charlie, a guy who had been on the chain gang for 6 years for jaywalking is the guy who played Phil Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

LOL i just checked TV.com and Dennis Haskins was actually in 4 dukes of hazzard episodes. that might be a record for an actor portraying non reoccuring charactors on there.
The Dukes of Hazzard (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/show/684/summary.html?tag=;summary) Gate Guard Undercover Dukes (1) (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/undercover-dukes-1/episode/79811/summary.html?tag=;summary)
The Dukes of Hazzard (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/show/684/summary.html?tag=;summary) Elmo Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/cale-yarborough-comes-to-hazzard/episode/79825/summary.html?tag=;summary)
The Dukes of Hazzard (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/show/684/summary.html?tag=;summary) Charlie Watkins The Late J.D. Hogg (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/the-late-j.d.-hogg/episode/79730/summary.html?tag=;summary)
The Dukes of Hazzard (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/show/684/summary.html?tag=;summary) Moss One Armed Bandits (http://www.tv.com/the-dukes-of-hazzard/one-armed-bandits/episode/38632/summary.html?tag=;summary)
So he was in season 1, 3, 6, and 7
Kind of odd since One Armed Bandits was filmed in Georgia and the rest in California.

LOL yeah James Best is getting up there. He is actually older than Sorrell Booke was by a few years and i think he actually is as old as denver pyle was or almost.
Sonny Shroyer is pretty old too. IIRC he's 74 now.
Per Wiki
Sorrell Booke (January 4, 1930 – February 11, 1994)
Denver Dell Pyle (May 11, 1920 – December 25, 1997)
James Best (born July 26 (http://ltxtech.com/wiki/July_26), 1926 (http://ltxtech.com/wiki/1926))
Otis Burt "Sonny" Shroyer, Jr. (born August 28, 1935)
