i have a 97 camaro with lt1, i have a hypertech chip still in the box, and the box says it is for a 94-95 model, will it work also do i have to have the chip if im doing a pcmforless (mail order tune) thanks alot guys yall all are very helpful, thanks again

your car should not be using a "chip"....

Anything after 93 did not need a chip, As well you do not need a chip and a tune,

Your problem here is 94-95 is obd1 and your car is obd2 ,

Sell your hypertech programmer to someone with a obd1 car

We all have to learn and this site will help explain the dos and donts,never be affraid to ask a question,if you are not sure you can always pick a few members and PM them, i respond to all PMs and will help as much as i can.
As far as tunning nothing beats a dyno tune! there are many tuners out there that will get you in the zone, i use www.madtuner.com (http://www.madtuner.com) been very consistant for me,great customer service and phone communication....
