i'll try and give as much valuable info in the shortest time. i just wanna make sure i have all my bases checked before i digging.
i'll go to accelerate in any gear and it will spudder/hesitate, when i give it more gas it gets over it and continues on like nothing happened. its very intermintant, meaning sometimes it can be 1 to 3 times, only ever for a few seconds, a day but sometimes i can go an entire day without it happening. Next...T or F - if it was the opti it would throw a code? i think this is T, unfortunatly i dont have a CEL, so would the code be stored?
which would lead me to believe it's a simple plugs a wires problem. Last... could it be a tuning issue? the car has never been tuned to support its modifications AND deletions. but who knows for certin which is why i'm asking for anyother input, aggreences or disaggreences. thanks.

Mine did the same thing a while back. Hesitating at idle and early acceleration. New wires fixed the problem for me.

As far as throwing codes such as an Opti, if the problem is intermittent and not dead, it might not throw a code. The lo resolution is more prone to throwing a code than the Hi res. I have seen lazy O2;s causing problems but did not throw a code because in sense there were still working but very lazy. Look at night under the hood to see if there is any arching from the wires, does it do it in any sequence meaning more hot than cold? wet outside? ect..

no real rhyme or reason to it that i've picked up on. it hasnt done it for the last 2 days or so but when it does do it, it just seem's totally random. i'm probably diving into before friday sometime. i'll post up what i find......or dont find.

small update: due to weather and holidays i havent done any looking yet but...i usually unplug the battery before i go to our thursday night meets to reset any codes, well i didnt do this for about the last 2 weeks, the problem got bad. it was doing it quite often. i unplugged my battery about a week ago and i has done it probably twice since. i still think its merely a plug or wire problem, if it is, does that relate to, in any way, like a misfire code or something that would be stored and reset by unplugging my battery?

my car was doing that exact same thing. Evey once and a while the check engine light would pop on with no problem so I scanned the computer and it said my right bank O2 sensor was shot so I replaced it and hasn't happen again. I believe with the O2 being shot the the motor was loading up.So when you give it more gas the motor gets more air and has a chance to clean it self out in the higher RPMs. I also removed my cat but that was just cause I don't have to go for emissions any more so I felt I didn't need it. but I removed that before changing the O2 and it helped out some so that the motor could breath more. I hope this helps you out with your problem.

Did you get your problem worked out? Had similar issue, mine was pulling secondary air injection code. Fixed and fixed it right up.

o2 makes sense because i have no o2's in the back and they're not tuned out. i put simulaters in but...shrug. currently saving up for a tune so we'll see. thanks everyone.
