New cruiser is in service...

Its nothing special, but I just wanted to post up our new 09 Impalas... Just got two, they are identical....

for the past 8 years I have always gotten the new car assigned to me, this year I opted to keep my 2004, so that it can be ALL MINE... (I get possessive over my cruiser....

Kid got fired from Applebees, got in his truck and tore into the building.... Up a flight of stairs , crushed the railing and knocked the kitchen door in to the building....

I parked against the front of it for saftey since people were all around and I wasnt sure if it would come back down....

on the original subject. i think i prefer the look of the 04 impala to the 09, but i think i like how the 07+ drives (had one as a rental car and my dad has an 04 with the 3400)

well both have 3800s, but my 04 is rated at a whooping 200 hp, the new ones.... 260hp......

Well when I had my old crown vic (2001) I had many a chase, and got smoked.... My best chase was a 1985 Mustang GT, and that saw speeds of 115mph (before I get bashed, that was an armed robery suspect)

When I first started, I had the 1995 LT1 caprice (which Im still trying to buy... tried to pull over a neon SRT-4, and when I hit the lights, he killed his headlights and walked all over me... that was a simple traffic violation, so I didnt chase (that long), but he was caught 40mi from here after a lehigh cop chased him in the 80 mph area with a blown tire on the neon...


My 04 impala stops accelerating at110mph..... the new one is not broken in yet so who knows...... intrepids are good for 130+, and the crownvics, depending on the gearing are good for the 120s.....And our 4wd tahoe is governed at 90something.....

Not that Im saying anyone should run if they can go faster, but we are severly under "armed" when it comes to cars.... A new caprice (which I believe will be the old G8, should be a welcome addition.....

LOL i wish i had pics of the T/A i saw in Broward County, FL when i lived down there. They have a fully marked LS1 WS6. Here is another one they have, a fully marked LT1 25th anniv T/A. The LT1 supposedly is used around the airport. the LS1 i saw many times near 441 and atlantic blvd. the only difference between the 2 was the LS1 had a small lightbar behind the T-tops instead of the large lgiht bar on top of them like this one has.

i couldn't imagine having to spend 8+ hrs a day driving around in either one of those. i had a 98 Neon coupe for a work beater in phoenix AZ and that thing was bad enough. i put about 7,000 miles on it in about 4 months.
