Call any cam manufacturer, reduced base circle cams are really common now a days....

What is the difference between a small based circle cam over a regular cam?

What is the difference between a small based circle cam over a regular cam?

The base circle (basically the timing in which the valves are closed) is ground on a smaller diameter. This is done to allow one for a larger rod (mostly obsolete now due to new rod design and bolts, they don't hit nearly as often) and two it allows for wild lobe profiles in comparison. You can get more duration and faster ramp rates and more lobe lift due to the grinding on a smaller base circle. Most radical racing cams are based on reduced base circle grinds.
