So, I find this forum right...I have an LT-1 so I register...I get looking around at the subforums...
and under car specific...I don't see my car listed! no RX-7 section?!?!?
and then, I look at the Regional Section...NC isn't listed =/
so yeah...gee...do i feel welcomed or what?!?!?
ok, anyway...enough of me complaining...
name's traynham and I found this through v8rx7forum...
I have a '93 RX-7 with a 383ci LT-1 built from a '94 corvette 4-bolt main block and mated with a '95 camaro T-56. The car is currently torn apart right now while I fix wiring and some body damage. The initial swap was done by me and my brother 4 yrs ago. The old 350 LT-1 (with LT-4 hot cam kit and little port/polish head work) put 285 hp, 292 ft-lbs to the wheels on a mustang dyno.
Current plans for the car before it's back out and driving daily is coil per cylinder and dual 3'' exhaust. But all this is waiting on me to put my rotary rx7 back on the road (about a month away). Of course, I need to do some suspension and body work.
Click the pic in my sig for myspace or find me on facebook, I have more pics there of it.
but here are a few to start with:

of course, i'm sure i'm one of the only few LT-1 3rd gens you will see. I've only seen pics of like 5 of us and only ever seen one other one in person. Usually it's an LSx...but you know that i'm sure

No clue on the HP of the 383 yet. I've not had the car running well enough to were I would want to dyno it and see. Hopefully I'll finally have some numbers on it in a few months when I can get back to working on it and putting her back together.
I'm just hoping I can break 400 to the wheels...that would make me happy. What do you all think, can I do it?

With a 383 and the right ported Heads/Intake set with a cam to match should put you just over the 400rwhp mark (even with a little room to spare with a big enough/matched good enough cam).
Z28pr0jekt

400whp is achievable with a good set of heads/cam from AI or LE on a 350/355... As long as your setup is running good and your cam is well matched to your heads you should be able to hit the mark..
What are the specs on the cam
are the trickflows ported?
that info will help us determine how much it can put down

Guys, If there's enough of you to warrant a LT1 RX7 section, I'll have no problem putting it up on the board. If I get a chance today I'll do that for you.
