Not to long ago I had my BRAKE light come one with out the E Brake on. I noticed I lost a little bit of pedal. I checked my fluid levels and it was just a little low, so I topped it off. What do I need to do in order to get the light off? Does it just need to be bled off or something?

yes you may have to bleed the system to reset the sensor/valve that turns the brake light on

+1 closed system shouldnt lose fluid without a leak. :hmm:

Thats what I was thinking too. But the car is 100% garage kept and there is not a drip anywhere to be found. So it is beyond me how it lost the fluid. :hmm:

give everything a good inspection and make sure nothing looks greasy..just how much fluid did you have to add to fill it up??

Only about two or three ounces.

are the pads due for a change?,,maybe the fluid was in the calipers due to the thin pads??just throwing it out there

If there is no leak then the pads are shot. The same thing happens on my 2000 Nissan Frontier pick up. Confused the hell outta me the first time it happened haha

This happened to me, but the bruid fluid was full, and when i came to my next stop and slammed on the brakes, the light went away...

Mines doing the same. Don't mean to thread jack but does your ebrake work properly? I just bled my fronts and no change. My brake handle comes way up sometimes and half way up others and doesn't hold good. I'm wondering if one of my rear calipers is sticking
