Had to go to the fiance's work, to get her gym bag that has her "morning get ready stuff" that she forgot... well she wanted to take the truck i was like no lets take the formula... off we go... get into the town she works in and get pulled over... cop walks up, 2 more swing in behind him, cop takes my info... another cop waits at my door we talk about my prior problems with the town i live in local pd he agrees the a holes, and then to other cop ask for concent to search the car i say yes, he then fills out his info then ask me to step outta the car. so i do he hands me a warning for tag lites and he wouldnt issue me a ticket for that and says have a good night. i was like ur not searchin the car? he says do u mind? i was like go for it. so he ask britnie to step out she does we all talk for a min he finishes searching explains y he wanted to and says have a good night, the other officer comments how my car sounds (4inch bullet with mods in sig) and were on our way
1st good experience with a cop in along time i must say im very pleased lol and had to share... i thought for sure i was racking up more tickets like i did a few months ago for exhaust, tires, and dirty tag that totaled 300 bucks lol. i only hate how they always ask where ur coming from an where ur going though i mean does it really freakin matter lol? and asking where u work? its not really needed i dont think to make an arrest or give a warning or ticket. im deff no complaining but i just question it. Britnie mentioned that she worked at a law firm i think that made it go so smoothly lol.

I don't understand what gave them the thought they needed to search the vehicle?
he said it was routine and he ask all the ppl he pulls over at night? i didnt understand ether however i had nothing at all to hide so it didnt matter i just ask that they treat my stuff with respect and not throw it outta the car like my lower rear seats, a local cop did it to my buddys car and threw his stuff in dirt.

Almost positive you need reasonable cause to search and it is not a routine procedure. I've been pulled over a lot over the years and never once did I have my vehicle searched even after one cop having me step out of the car and asking if I had guns or drugs in the car and trying to see if I was lying about my passenger

a couple weeks ago, i was stopped and asked for a search..
I was doing about 63ish in a 55 when I passed a gas station where an officer was sitting. when i went by i didn't slam the brakes or anything but just kept going, i felt pretty assured because
1. he was walking to his vehicle
2. my radar didn't go off (Escort Passport 8500 X50) and it has always been awesome at going off WELL before I see them.
anyways about 5 minutes along my way I noticed somebody tailgating me and looked at the headlight configuration and it was a Charger. I knew that it would be the officer so I looked at my speed and it was about 59-60 (in this 55). He pulls me over. When he walks up and he tells me I was doing 68 in a 55. I was really confused, so I repeated what he said pretty much.
"so, you clocked me, doing 68mph.. on this road?"
he got really flustered and said.. "....um,...yes"
Then he told me to step out.
he goes to his car and sends in my info i'm assuming then comes back and asks
"Sir, do you mind if I search your vehicle at this time?"
me: "I'm sorry, search my vehicle??"
cop: "yes"
me: "umm.. i don't know if I feel comfortable with you going through all my stuff"
cop: gets very agitated "Sir, let me put it to you this way, I have a K-9 Unit just down the road waiting and I can have him come up here, no problem, and if that K-9 is alerted, we'll search your car whether you like or NOT!"
me: "wait, wait, don't you have to have some type of reason to search my car though?"
cop: "yes.. but not if you let me"
me: "oh ok.. well.. I don't really like the idea of somebody going through my car"
cop: "Sir, you are acting a lot like somebody who has, i don't know, 5 POUNDS of marijuana in your car."
me: "are you kidding me? I don't. Sir, I just like to keep my private things, private."
cop: "well... let me put it to you this way, you can either
A. Make me call up the K-9 unit, the dog will walk around and if he's alerted, we'll search you, and you'll get a 68 in a 55 ticket.
or B. you can let ME search your car, and you'll walk right on out of here without a ticket"
me: "well..... as much as I don't like this, I can't afford that ticket with college... so go ahead"
and no, he didn't find 5 pounds of marijuana

I get quite annoyed when cops just make up bullshit to claim they had reasonable cause.
I went through that shit about a month ago with one of my friends where a cop blatantly lied and said we had just come out of a certain parking lot that we were never even in.
Phstratton
11-12-2009, 11:07 AM
I honestly fucking hate most cops. Instead of patrolling streets and making sure no one is getting jumped or beating their wife and kids, they're out giving speeding tickets to people who are going 5 over to get home because it's late. Seriously, how does that benefit anyone?
richardson
11-12-2009, 11:09 AM
i was shocked on my way home. the cop pretty much bargained a ticket to let him search me.. :hmm:
I'm pretty sure I'm on some type of "BOLO" though. I've been getting stopped like CRAZY for the dumbest reasons ever since I had a run-in with an officer for "Wreckless Driving", that I won in court.
I got stopped once where the police car was going the opposite direction, hit his brakes (you know when you see the nose drop and they do the u-turn and you just KNOW you're getting pulled over) well, he did that and you know what he said he pulled me over for..
ONE of my rear license plate lights were out..
he didn't give me a ticket but then before he let me go he asked me to get out of the car and kept pestering me about whether or not I was drinking that night...
-----------
..OH and before i left he said, "drinking and driving is a good way to screw up your commissioning."
I have no idea how he knew i was ROTC

I have respect for most officers and I've had some pull me over when I was completely in the wrong and end up letting me off.
But then I've had others who exaggerated my speed by 10-20mph over what I was actually going. I understand the concept of speed traps and whatnot but I find it funny I just read an article yesterday where a state increased their highway speed limit to 80mph and LESS accidents are occurring

yea he asked if i had any guns kifes weapons in the car i said uhh nope. he goes then you wouldnt mind if i searched ur car....pause....sure. He then went back to his car. He got me for tag lites only i was doing the speed limit. My car is nasty loud though i thought thats y i was getting pulled over he had no chance to run my tags ether he pulled off a side street then flipped on his lights and yanked me it was odd. nice cops i just didnt like my shit getting searched, they even went through britnies purse in the car and under my shifter boot thing that was snapped in. i have no priors that have anything to do with guns, knifes, weapons, drugs are alcohol. so i dont understand the seatch. all i have is like 15-18 points lol.

Only been pulled over for speeding once, it was in my truck and I was actually speeding, didn't know the road and didn't make excuses, he saw my radar detector.

No fucking way I'd ever give consent to a search. People think "ah, I've got nothing to hide, so why not?" If you have nothing to hide then there should be absolutely no reason to search the vehicle. You don't have to prove yourselves to the cops. They're not looking to see how good of a person you are because you don't keep drugs/weapons/etc in your car. They WANT to find something on you. DON'T TALK TO COPS, NEVER CONSENT TO SEARCHES.

Maybe I'm weird but I've never really had any issues with the police, and respect them.
I've been pulled over a couple times for minor issues (no license plate light, expired sticker -- had proof of online registration renewal and the sticker was in the mail, etc.)
But I've never received any infractions. It comes down to respect, and I can't speak for all areas but most cops aren't "dicks."

+1, most of the time they are just doing their job. Some of them take it out of hand but most don't. And some precautions that people call "bullshit" are just for their safety. You never know what somebodies going to do. People are dumb...

the cops around here are very rough i respect them always up until they hand me a ticket that i dont feel i deserve, and i have deserved many that ive recieved but then again there are alot that i shouldnt have and the cop was just a prick. the cops last night that i talked to knew them by name and agreed and said a few bad things about them as well.
i mean seriously 100 dollar ticket for having dirt on my tag? or exibition of speed saying i sounded like i was going fast, or waving to a cop when i wasnt speeding and got offended an told another cop i was and i got pulled over when i was doing under the speed limit. there are many very good cops that have very much respect for some are my friends, but theres many that go beyond there job in a bad way

I have had good and bad run ins with the police.
The last time I was pulled over I was in the slow lane, behind a buddy that never speeds, on our way to a friends wedding rehersal. I was actually being passed by 3 cars and was thinking about getting over and passing him to keep up with traffic when I saw lights. I figured one of the cars passing us was nailed but nope, it was me. He said I was doing 75 in a 60. I was like "WTF are you talking about?!" I didn't have time to argue with him over it and after 15-20 minutes on the side of the road I finally signed the damn thing and left.
I know for a fact I wasn't speeding and my buddy even was amaized. If I wasn't the best man and didn't need to be there I would have gone off. I am always "yes sir, No sir" ect. anytime I get pulled over or talk to an officer but this went too far, for me anyway.

Remember, everything I will say is based on PA laws and the experiences I have had...
1st off, Im happy you had your "first good experience with a cop".... we are not all dicks.... however even I have been a dick.... but it takes alot of pushing to get me there.....
reasonable suspicion: is fairly simple for an Officer to validate... if you are driving by a known drug area and stop to speak with someone on a corner... simple...
PA has made it even easier for us as Police Officers to stop a vehicle.... and it is almost to the point of not what you KNOW rather, what you think you may know... In the past it required Probable cause to stop someone.... but like I said PA has made it easier...
Just remember that a consent search is simply asking for prmission.... I can ask anyone at any time for consent, and at the time I dont HAVE TO explain myself.... However , you as the contact person have to feel as though you are free to leave... I must have already issued you your citation or warning, returned your paperwork and let you know you were free to go prior to asking.... I CAN NOT tell you, If you dont give me consent I will get a warrant to search your vehicle... COnsent must be given freely......
However, if you have nothing to hide.... whats the worry...? Yes I understand, people want their PRIVATE STUFF PRIVATE, but lets be honest.... people are not running around with center consols full of their undies or shit like that.....
I have asked for consent plenty of times.... and in most times, Im looking for the persons reaction... I dont realy wana stick my hands in peoples shit....

he said it was routine and he ask all the ppl he pulls over at night? i didnt understand ether however i had nothing at all to hide so it didnt matter i just ask that they treat my stuff with respect and not throw it outta the car like my lower rear seats, a local cop did it to my buddys car and threw his stuff in dirt.
And if a cop can prove they ask consent of EVERY vehicle they stop, or that they have a routine, say EVERY 3rd vehicle they stop.... there is nothing wrong with that...
Its the equivilent of a DUI chekcpoint.... you are stopping people in a checkpoint for not having anything done wrong.... But you are stopping EVERYONE.... no targeting... everyone is treated equally...

Almost positive you need reasonable cause to search and it is not a routine procedure. I've been pulled over a lot over the years and never once did I have my vehicle searched even after one cop having me step out of the car and asking if I had guns or drugs in the car and trying to see if I was lying about my passenger
Actually you need Probable Cause.... however, with consent... you dont because you were giving permission...
And almost every stop I have starts the same way. "Good morning/evening, Im Officer hanna fromt he UPPD and the reason I stoped you is for _________. License Registration and Insurance" Once I have those items...." before I walk away, do you have any guns knives drugs weapons of hand grenades in the vehicle?"
See its routine for me that has worked for the past 8years plus. Other Officers do it their way, but you ask the question and not only look for the answer, but also look for the reaction of the person answering...

a couple weeks ago, i was stopped and asked for a search..
The story just doesnt flow... either we are completly missing something in this story.... or you are not aware of everything that was going on...

I honestly fucking hate most cops. Instead of patrolling streets and making sure no one is getting jumped or beating their wife and kids, they're out giving speeding tickets to people who are going 5 over to get home because it's late. Seriously, how does that benefit anyone?
So when your brother sister mother or father dies because they got hit by someone who was speeding, who was also intoxicated that may have been ablt to be stopped, you still see no benifit????

i was shocked on my way home. the cop pretty much bargained a ticket to let him search me..

I don't see how it benefits to harass people the way most cops do. I'm all for road blocks and check points to find drunk drivers, and even pulling over someone that is swerving or out really late at night, but a drunk driver is not going to be driving around at 1pm in the afternoon. I mean it could happen but very rarely. I don't think they should stop patrolling altogether I just feel like other things are more important than speeding tickets.
It's all about the money. They pull over people because they know they'll pay. If I was next to a shitty ass red Honda with four white doors and they were going 20 over, and I was going 10 over; I would get pulled over because they know the people in the Honda probably won't even pay.

If you understand the idea of SPEED TRAPS, you would understand that they are not TRAPS at all. They are speed ENFORCEMNT DETAILS.... by no means do the POLICE force a driver to speed then TRAP them.... People speed on their own....
And you are correct in most cases when the speed limit has been raised, less accidents happen. However when they do happen, the severity is much worse.... hence that is why it is left up to the DEPARTMENT of TRANSPORTATION of the individual state to assess those areas... Usually based off of Reportable Accident reports filled by your local crooked Police Officers....

23 now 24 posts and we haven't had a statement from popo??? Is he sick? Get well popo!!
I have also had a few run-ins with the cops and most have been for something retarded. Window tint when I had my windows down... Search my car for a muffler which he found... Too bad he didn't look for cats! LOL just a bunch of bs. Only been pulled over for speeding once, it was in my truck and I was actually speeding, didn't know the road and didn't make excuses, he saw my radar detector.
Oh I've been stopped in my car for having a radar when it was just fm radio! LOL he searched my car for that.
And I've been in one DUI checkpoint but was good to go.
Just remember because we dont agree with a certain violation being a violation does not change the fact that it is illegal. We all roll the dice when we break the law whether tinting windows like I did (and recieved a ticket) or if we chose to rob a bank....

And that is your perogative to not give consent...
And you are correct you dont hae to prove yourself to the Police....
Just remember to those who do try to hide things, there are ways around consent..... plain view/warrant/ in some states K9's give PC..... etc...
As far as your last sentence... just remember that same thought should work BOTH WAYS.... so when someone is in your home , or taking off with your car... DONT TALK TO COPS.

I would have hoped that last sentence wouldn't have been misconstrued, given the context of the topic at hand. Obviously, it shouldn't work both ways. I honestly don't know dude but I've sat in a Court Room and watched a Judge declare that these meth heads were guilty, then when the lady that they owed a bunch of money stepped up to the judge and said "how do I get my money back?" He said "That's not my problem, you have to solve that as a private citizen". Then when a truck driver that had been hauling logs and was slightly overweight walked up to the stand, the Judge said "Guilty, your fine is 2000."

Im still out on the streets and I still patrol my 12 hour shifts.... but I just dont think tickets make the difference, but hell Ive been wrong before (BRICE/PARISH).... When I first started 8 years ago, I was a HAMMER... I was the "DICK" and although I didnt fabricate shit or break the rules, I also gave no one a break... Id average 10-20 citations a shift...... My nick name was CAPTAIN CARSTOP and that was by other cops...
To answer your questiong.... I have stopped many a cool car, and BS'd about cars.... I find a reason and make their aquaintance..... more specifically, I have NEVER written a ticket to any LT1 operators.... but that may just be, cuz they dont fuk up round here.... i also wonder how many ppl drive like an ass around him trying to show off or race him when hes out cruising in the camaro lol. that would be funny to be able to pull up to a light an say something like just to inform u i am a off duty cop an flash the badge, and watch them slowly crawl away from the light an go a diffrent direction lol
Its funny, there is a long stretch to route 100 that I travel on my way to the PD.... and soooooooo many times people pull up next to me, knock it down a gear, or they blow the tires off next to me when the light turns green....
BEST PART, when I see them later that same day.... I STOP THEM.... I tell them that they were seen racing on SR100 earlier.... THEY STUMBLE, THEY DENY..... the I tell them, " if my cruiser was a white camaro, with a black hood... would they still insist I dont know what Im talking about...."

My experience has unfortunately been if I actually forgot about that and said that.. I would get
"Oh you forgot huh?"
Almost every time I have been pulled over, my credibility has been on trial when I have given no reason for anyone to presume anything but the truth.
If someone is looking for wrong, it's easy to find wrong. Like I said, about a month ago me and a friend were pulled over after a cop blatantly lied and claimed we came out of a parking lot we were never in. I got into a pretty heated argument with the officer because no matter what you think or say, you can't just make up probable cause because you damn well feel like it.

Here is the story copied from when I posted it somewhere else
"But as me and Dan learned tonight it is probable cause to pull somebody over for driving down a road on "street racing day"
Straight from the cops mouth. We literally got pulled over for driving by a parking lot which the cop then BOLD FACE LIED and said that we just exited the parking lot. I explained that I had more than a couple witnesses to prove we just came from beach blvd.
And the cop tried getting all technical and saying "you don't think that was probable cause to pull you over"
I said "for what?"
he says for pulling out of a parking lot where street racing was going on
and I said "no because we weren't in the parking lot we were just driving down the road"
So OFFICIALLY Saturday is now apparently national Street Racing Day, we can all rejoice.
I'm sure there is more but I'm still a bit heated about all of this."
That's just a basic rundown but that's exactly how it went down.

I have had 3 run ins with the cops. 1st was a seat beat ticket (really who cares). 2nd was a speeding ticket(82 in a 70). 3rd was a supposed street racing ticket(judge gave me 30 hours community service and pre trial divert).
From my run ins, some cops are cool some are not. Sometimes it depends on what you have been doing. I have never got off with a warning, even tho my bro was pulled over for 98 in a 70 and got a seat bealt ticket(wtf?). So far i have never been searched. Most of the cops here are big dicks and they just get on your nerves more then anything else and will pull anyone over for just about anything. I saw a guy get pulled over for just driving and he waved at a cop.
This is why we go to sommerset to have our fun. In sommerset there is a crusie and during the cruise, which is from about 7-9, the cops either stay off the strip or end up on the strip, but WILL NOT pull you over for racing or burnout as long as you know what you are doing. Why cant cops be more like this? Most of the time its just harmless fun.

what Im saying is if you have done nothing wrong, why not eliminate yourself from suspicion for whatever reason there may be some...
Because that's not how it works. Anything you say can only be used against you, not to help you. You may very well be incriminating yourself by lending any information about your relation to a crime--even if you're trying to help, even if you're trying to convey your innocence, even if you're guilty. Talking can only hurt you. That's why we have the Miranda Rights; they're to protect the innocent, not hide the guilty.

I've been pulled over quite a few times. Nothing much ever really came out of them though. My worst was a 71 in a 55, which got reduced to failure to stop at a stop sign or some BS like that.
I got a ticket for my exhaust on my old Camaro... Court dropped it.
A cop searched my car before.... Which I thought was BS. It was kinda embarrasing sitting on the side of a highway with a cop going all throughout my Formula. I didnt want to be a wise ass because I didnt think that would end well, but I really wanted to... Since there was absolutely NOTHING in my car, nor has there ever been anything that would have ever gotten me in trouble. He didnt find anything, tried to justify it, then let me go.
Eitherway, at the end of the day, police officers are just doing their job. Sometimes they may come off as pricks, some of them are, but theyre the reason why criminals out of public and help protect the people. If you dont do anything wrong, you shouldnt be afraid to talk to them or make their jobs easier. The only way you're going to get in trouble, get tickets, or fined is if YOU do something wrong. Granted, some cops may not be the sharpest tools in the shed when it comes to car knowledge; a cop gave a friend of mine a ticket for no catelytic convertors on his 68 galexy when he had 2, but since he didnt do anything wrong, nothing happened in court! The cop that gave him the tickets is actually sitting in jail right now for sexually assulting a few women, but thats besides the point. :shame:

I honestly fucking hate most cops. Instead of patrolling streets and making sure no one is getting jumped or beating their wife and kids, they're out giving speeding tickets to people who are going 5 over to get home because it's late. Seriously, how does that benefit anyone?
Read This Slowly
Jack took a long look at his speedometer
before slowing down: 73 in a 55 zone.
Fourth time in as many months. How could a guy get caught so often?
When his car had slowed to 10 miles an hour, Jack pulled over, but only partially.
Let the cop worry about the potential traffic hazard. Maybe some other car will tweak his backside with a mirror.
The cop was stepping out of his car,
the big pad in hand.
Bob? Bob from Church?
Jack sunk farther into his trench coat.
This was worse than the coming ticket.
A cop catching a guy from his own church.
A guy who happened to be a little eager
to get home after a long day at the office.
A guy he was about to play golf with tomorrow.
Jumping out of the car, he approached a man he saw every Sunday, a man he'd never seen in uniform.
'Hi, Bob. Fancy meeting you like this.'
'Hello, Jack.' No smile.
'Guess you caught me red-handed
in a rush to see my wife and kids.'
'Yeah, I guess.' Bob seemed uncertain.
Good.
'I've seen some long days at the office lately. I'm afraid I bent the rules a bit -just this once.'
Jack toed at a pebble on the pavement.
'Diane said something about roast beef and potatoes tonight. Know what I mean?'
'I know what you mean.. I also know that you have a reputation in our precinct .'
Ouch. This was not going in the right direction. Time to change tactics.
'What'd you clock me at?'
'Seventy. Would you sit back in your car please?'
'Now wait a minute here, Bob. I checked as soon as I saw you. I was barely nudging 65.' The lie seemed to come easier with every ticket.
'Please, Jack, in the car'
Flustered, Jack hunched himself through the still-open door. Slamming it shut, he stared at the dashboard. He was in no rush to open the window.
The minutes ticked by.
Bob scribbled away on the pad.
Why hadn't he asked for a driver's license?
Whatever the reason, it would be a month of Sundays before Jack ever sat near this cop again.
A tap on the door jerked his head to the left. There was Bob, a folded paper in hand
Jack rolled down the window a mere two inches, just enough room for Bob to pass him the slip.
'Thanks.' Jack could not quite keep the sneer out of his voice.
Bob returned to his police car without a word. Jack watched his retreat in the mirror. Jack unfolded the sheet of paper.
How much was this one going to cost?
Wait a minute.
What was this? Some kind of joke?
Certainly not a ticket. Jack began to read:
'Dear Jack, Once upon a time I had a daughter. She was six when killed by a car. You guessed it - a speeding driver.
A fine and three months in jail, and the man was free. Free to hug his daughters, all three of them. Only had one, and I'm going to have to wait until Heaven before I can ever hug her again.
A thousand times I've tried to forgive that man. A thousand times I thought I had.
Maybe I did, but I need to do it again.
Even now. Pray for me. And be careful, Jack, my son is all I have left.'
'Bob'
Jack turned around in time to see Bob's car pull away and head down the road.
Jack watched until it disappeared..
A full 15 minutes later, he too,
pulled away and drove slowly home,
praying for forgiveness and hugging a surprised wife and kids when he arrived.
Life is precious.
Handle with care.
This is an important message;
please pass it along to your friends.
Drive safely and carefully.
Remember, cars are not the only things
recalled by their maker

Oh I forgot.. cops never speed ANYWHERE.
I see more cops breaking traffic regulations than I see other drivers. Maybe they should actually stop for red lights and not roll through with their lights on and turn them off when they're through the intersections.
Again someone who speaks without understanding..
when I go flying to a house where I can beat the ambulance there because someone is having a heart attack or if someone is breaking in a house , or if someone is getting beat up, I dont always want the "bad guy" to hear me comming, or necessarily need to wake up the entire neighborhood (depending on the situation)
However to avoid an unecessary crash, I flip the lights on or blip the siren to get though an intersection then kill them to continue incognito.....
but then again, because a cop turns the lights on then runs a red then turns em off, MUST mean we just were to impatient to wait for the green... IGNORANCE!!!

When I've seen this happen multiple times and the cop is just cruising the whole time next to me but gets to a red light and is too lazy to wait and then just continues on cruising.
Not rushing to get anywhere obviously or they would clearly be going much quicker to respond.
I consistently watch cops going 20 over what I'm going on the highway without lights or sirens to go where? Sometimes emergencies but if so lights should be ON when they are rushing past traffic so that people know to get out of the way if it's such an emergency.
I have police in my family and am hardly ignorant to what they do. It is you that is ignorant thinking that cops are always in the right.

Because we rolled up to the next light and they decided they would actually wait for that red light because there was a car in front of them this time so they couldn't just go right through it.
Therefore the cop purposely abused his discretion going through the first red light for no purpose whatsoever

maye another officer was not answering their status reports while on a call and this officer decided to step it up.... however between the 2 lights the officer who was not responding gave the "ok" respnse....

Guys, it comes down to this... if you have a sweet ride, a cop WILL be jeolous and pull you over, that is, if you do him the favor of stopping. Not only that, but radar CANNOT pick up a car with a sweet shine so never accept a ticket, just rev your motor to about 6000rpm and say "What do ya think about that, huh?"

Not only that, but radar CANNOT pick up a car with a sweet shine so never accept a ticket, just rev your motor to about 6000rpm and say "What do ya think about that, huh?" dude, you can only do that if you have an 86 IROC lmao...

Do they keep their in dash cams on all of the time? Reason being, I was traveling down IH-35 on Labor Day weekend, I knew the DPS would be heavy so I set my cruise to 72 mph, this is on my Toyota 4-Runner. I see a DPS up on a hillside and at that time a Honda SUV with the exact same color as mine passes me. The traffic was heavy and I could see the Troopers lights on way behind me so I say to myself He's going after that Honda. It took a little while with him trying to get by traffic, he starts to pass me up then does a double take at me, slows down, gets behind me and pulls me over. He says he clocked me at 88mph. I tell him he got the wrong car, and that it was a HONDA Suv not me, I told him Look at your dash cam, He says in great quote "Tell it to the Judge". I call the courthourse explaining what happened, I get told that "They" do not have access to the Troopers videos?? WTF, Of course to their discretion. Anyway I had to pay the fine, they wouldnt listen. I was Frickin pissed, I mean if you speed, get caught, pay, But in my case I got the shaft...I tried to rev my Toyota to 6000 RPM's, but that didn't work...

That absolutly blows.... I can tell you several times I had gone after a car, and by the time I catch it (our imps are slow) I get confused as to which vehicle I wanted... of course by then everyone is going the speed limit... so.... I just do a U-turn and set back up.....
As for the tell it to the judge comment... it made me giggle, cuz PONCH used to say that on Chips, and hes my idol... lol
And as for the cameras, if functioning properly they are triggered by many different ways to begin the recording process.... however they are programed to save the record prior to the activation...... example, ours are set for 90 sec prior... so if u speed, and I chase you down and activate my lights, it begins to record then.... HOWEVER it saved 90sec prior to me activating the lights.... Modern technology has created some wonderful things....
In the future if you want the camera records for a case, subpoena them from the police department, the judges office realy does not have access to our "tapes"
hope this answered your questions
