Took the car to the strip and well this happened on the second run of the night :claps: killed a driveshaft on HALLOWEEN:cool:

thats y ill ever go with a ls1 alum ds. Alum cans belong in my hand drinking out of not putting the power to my rear

yeah, i agree the Luminum ones dont do it for me either. the weight savings isnt that great anyway. and i like the vibration from the gold ol steel one from the factory!! LOL

WORD!!!!! i put my stock steel one back in , im gonna order a badass one soon enough , luckily this was on the last night of the season , so no worries :cool:

+1 thought the D/S was supposed to be the weakest point. easier and cheaper to replace than a rear. just dont forget the loop.

well went to drive the car and all i heard was crack,pop,pop,crack ,grrrrrr,pop hahah ripped every tooth of the spider gears but one and broke both spring reainer plates and all the springs fell !!! now looking for a stock posi to just get it by till spring while i save ;)

DAMN IT, and I just started a thread about putting ETs on my car with the 10bolt and the LS1 aluminum ds.... DAMN IT!!!

i did it for about 25 track passes leaving at 5000 haha , dont leave super high and you should be good . when i put my new cover on 2 months ago i saw 3 missing teeth on the one spider gear so it was on borrowed time . youll be good , set them at 17psi so they will spin and go , not hook and bog :) then you should be good

you should be just fine then :) i have a friend who was on ets leaveing low and slipping and his is just fine . the reason i had to leave so high is i still have stock gear haha im to lazy to put my 4.10s in ! but now i have the time .

i had nitto 555 extreme drags, an LS1 alumn D/S and 4.10's on the stock 10 bolt and never had any problems launching at around 3k.
