I usually hold off until Thanksgiving weekend before putting the cover on mine. She'll sit til March/April then with a trip around the block every month to keep the battery charged and oil on the valvetrain. :(

Lol. i was thinking the same thing.. in 5 years when ive only put like 8000 miles on mine and you have put 25k on yours driving it year round! im only averaging between 1200 and 1600 miles a year with it.

not so much the snow, but all the road salt and crap like that. it would suck. lol.

i am hoping my youngest (18 months old) will get $500K at Barret-Jackson in 2078 LOL
My car has NEVER been in snow. DE is nuts with the salt and sand and it is pretty tame here in the winter. I can count on 2 hands the times it has hit rain in the 7 years i have owned it. The shop where she sleeps this winter is on my parents property, so not seeing it all the time is not an issue.

yeah i'm not really looking forward to putting mine away this year again because i usually hibernate along with it
i'm pretty sure i went weeks last year without really leaving the house (other than to get the mail)
winter sucks. I store mine because it too is a southern car and a virgin as far as winters up here. you don't see too many 120k+ mile 15 year old cars up here with underbodies like this.

I used to drive mine daily year round, now the past 4 years i park it for the winter with cover on it mainly to keep the brine/salt solutions off of it. It does suck, but i still put a decent amt of miles on it in the months that I do drive it, and i enjoy every mile of that. breaking it out for the first time in the spring every year, im like a kid on christmas morning.

as am i!! it's an awesome feeling for sure
i just bought a dd/winter beater, and i already miss driving my car...it's been 2 days!
i find i appreciate it alot more when i store it, kind of like, absense makes the heart grow fonder or something

For the record, I will drive mine till first snow, then into the garage, car cover and battery tenderd up....
Im always so nervous on the first start up and drive in the spring wondering if its as good as when I put it away.....
but I rack ALOT of miles on it in the months between the winters... so its probably better that way.....
