Well I don't have the money for a dyno tune right now so I figured why not post up here and see what the other guys with similar mods are putting down.

Heres the list of mods....
LE3 Heads (shaved down 2 times), CC306 cam, comp R lifters, 1.6 pro mag roller rockers, cloyes true double roller timing chain, CSR EWP, stock crank, stock rods, ARP main studs, ARP rod bolts, SRP 11.1:1 forged pistons, .0030 block decked .0010, home ported intake, holley 36# injectors, bbk 58mm TB, CPT aluminum elbow, NGK TR55s gapped at .0035, MSD 8.5mm wires, new stock opti, moroso CAI, moroso 7 quart oil pan, melling 10% higher volume oil pump, hooker 1.75" LTs, X pipe and 2.5" true duals over the axle, MadZ28 mail order tune, spec stage 3, 4.10s in stock rear, 17x9 GM ZR1s

My goal is to make ~425 to the wheels, and have a good torque curve. I was going to have the car dynoed next month but money is really tight.

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance

Fully dialed in, probably 400-415 RWHP, around 360-380 RWTQ.

Really? I saw basically the same bottom end motor with a smaller cam and LE2s put down 415 rwhp and 396 rwtq corrected.

Thanks for the response though I really do appreciate it :)

Im hoping for around that with my LE2 heads cam le3 intake and all those other mods
Yeah a few guy are makeing 400-415 with the much milder LE2 cam than I have. My heads were also milled .030 instead of the norm .010

I would hope your in the 425/400 range

I air to the conservative. Look at the averages across the board and time and see where they end up. I like to look for a realistic number, then get happy if it's exceeded, not shoot for a high number and get disappointed if it doesn't make it. woosa :D

I hear ya man, I won't be disappointed as long as it pulls over 400 to the wheels. In the next year or so I plan on doing a different cam, probably something custom to get just what I want. The CC306 is a great cam, but its a pretty old design and I'm sure I could get something less agressive that will pull the same power.

I wasn't bashing your guess at all, just stating my opinion :) hopefully sometime I'll have the cash to get it dyno tuned and find out for sure what it'll do :D

Thanks again guys

GM847 FTW....

I sometimes miss the CC306 cam I had for a short period of time. When I had it, I had fully ported stock heads and intake, and only did like 340 at the wheels. But there were numerous things wrong with the car. It only lasted a few thousand miles like that before I found that after my cam install they had knicked a cam bearing and my stock motor was toast.

Best of luck to you!

400+ to the wheels is really about the limit for the rear. This is all assuming that you get traction. If you spin, then it won't really matter.

It's not to say you won't last for a while either, its just what I would say would be the safe limit before you should look at another rear. For what its worth, my Formula in my sig (with 441 RWHP) saw the tract with DR's and the stock rear held up fine with it.

Sorry man, I kind of forgot about the post. My rear has been holding up, but its now the loudest part of my car :( I can hardly hear the exhaust over it LOL I'm planning an 8.8 swap this winter. My car is still on a 275/40 street tire, it spins hard, but once in a while it kind of hooks when I hit 2nd and it make me cringe.

My buddies are trying to convince me to get DRs, but I will not with the stock rear.

But I missed a dyno day this year by about 2 weeks, I was going to dyno my car, but it wasn't back together in time. Hopefully I'll get some numbers before I switch to a new setup

Look in my sig at my times and you should atleast pull that mph if not faster. I'm running almost the exact same setup. 355,11.3:1 compression, untouched afr 180cc street heads,cc306,1.7i/1.6e rr's,pacesetter 1 3/4 lt's,3" x-pipe,flowmaster outlaw race mufflers, edelbrock intake ported by jrb racing and a edelbrock 58mm tb. I've also got quite I bit of suspension but it's all non-adj except the qa1 coil-overs and shocks. I'm probably putting down about 360-375 depending on the dyno and I'm still running the tune for my last setup.
