Depending on your budget and mods shocks may not be the best for you yet. When needed drag shocks make a big difference. If you haven't already loose the front sway bar and get tires that will hook. Then wirk on your rear suspension, relo brackets, TA etc. If you've done all that then it's time for drag shocks. I had KYB AGX's and can't complain, the price vs. performance over stock shocks is great. The only thing I didn't like is the adjustability is for extension and compression, not one or tyhe other. So you can loosen the shock but it will be equally loose both ways. I wouldn't go back after getting my Strange DA coilovers. The adjustability of extension and compression seperatly plus ability to adjust ride height. Many others are happy with QA1's coilovers as well, I've never had QA1's so I can't comment on them. Both companies make a single and double adjustable version and there is a decent price difference. I would reccomend spending the extra $ and buy them once, but your budget will dictate this. I said dictate!:D If you decide to get shocks I'd worry about the fronts first, several cars are going plenty fast with stock rear shocks. Many people myself included are using the $40 Competition Enginering rears.

I dont drag on the track much but I noticed a huge improvement in launch going from stockers to the comp engineering. They ran me like 80ish for the set. And theyre 3 way adjustable.

I didn't notice much of a difference. Can't beat the $ though!

I ordered my front Strange DAs and springs, and rear comps yesterday!!!!:):):)

I was thinking about the QA1s but after researching most people/vendors beleive the Strange DAs are much better shock, and I didnt want to feel like I was leaving anything on the table. Although Alot of people are very happy with their QA1s.
I asked Larry @ Speedinc.com and he said the QA1s work good on his Dads car and he said he LOVES his Strange DAs on his car. That pretty much sold me on the strange shocks. lol

My rears are shot, so i'm sure they would at least be somewhat of an upgrade. lol.. and at $40 a piece, its worth trying at least once!

My compa ride alittle rougher than stock but they seem to have a good weight transfer and gain for the money you can't beat them!

X2;) The front does the mostly all of the work when it comes to transferring weight

thats what i was thinking since you want the front to lift and transfer all the weight to the rear.
also when driving on the street with them what setting do you usually put them on 50/50?

I leave mine at the full loose setting on extension and about 2 clicks form full stiff on compression I don't notice that much of a difference on the street other than the front rides rougher. FWIW I don't drive enough on the street to give a fair statement, maybe 50 miles of cruising and going out to eat every month.

I have to say with the recent price reduction from AFCO that is the shock to buy. The quality is nice then I would go with strange.

If you want to upgrade those comp eng shocks for a set of QA1 da on the rear I will be selling mine over the winter. They don't have many passes on them.

Afco's to match the front. The quality between the two is noticable. I can't say for a fact that the afco will work better then the QA1 but the adjustments just feel solid. On the QA1's you can feel in click but the difference is there.

I put about 6 passes on them last year and maybe 20-30 this year.
