View Full Version : I finally got my 12 sec pass.

I hadnt had the car to the track since the LTX shootout :(

The weather is cool, cars been running good, so I let it rip last night.

1st pass- 2.99 60' went 14.1...WTF?

2nd pass- 2.0 60' (see video #1)

3rd pass- 1.82 60' (see video #2)

I was feeling like a little kid again, it was a good feeling too.

And I'm positive my rear end hates me.

Stock head/cam/intake car. Just a couple bolt ons and a decent tune.

Congrats..... Makes me want to RUN my car BAAAAAD!!!!

Im scared of what will happen to the 10bolt though....

Hell ya, I felt like a little kid at christmas when mine went that fast. It looked like it was gettin faster as the night went on.:metal: Start saving or stocking up on 10 bolt parts!:laugh:

Sweet deal!!! Thats deep 12s not just a 12.99999999999999. I think your clutch hates you more than the rear.

I can hear the car pushing through the stock clutch, so its pobably not as hard as it could be on the rear.

It actually felt pretty good. It did slip on the line which was awesome on the 10 bolt yea, and it probably kept me from bogging like the 12.8x pass...

Thats exactly how my stocker felt. It would slip just enough to keep the car from bogging then feel great the rest of the run.

Meh, just get a good clutch and a good shifter and let it rip.

And get some good weather while you're at it. DA was -350's last night.

Its a madz28 tune that's been tweaked by a local guy that's actually on this site. I think I have an O2 sensor going out. Been getting an SES every now and then and it loads up on fuel randomly under light load. Its not a dead on tune to say the least.

Yessir, my stock ECU would backfire through the intake when the car was all stock. It was junk haha.

have you done anything to the 10 bolt besides gears? anything for strength i guess is what i mean,,dont wanna seem like a copy cat but i would really like to do alot of the same stuff you have over this winter to mine,,so i appreciate ur responses and if i start to annoy ya just tell me

Aside from the Motive gears and replacement carrier bearings, the 10 bolt is stock. I have UMI lower control arm brackets on the car but havent had time to put on my LCA's yet.

CAI through an elbow. Stock TB, didnt even bother with an air foil haha.
Long tubes through an off road y-pipe with a dumped bullet muffler.
160 t-stat with fans tuned at 175 degrees.
4.10 gears.
Stock clutch.
LS1 driveshaft.


Its nothing special really.

I did when I first got it. Did 259/289 with just a cat delete. I might be able to get some dyno time this weekend. We'll see.

It's not like that at all. MKC (Modified by KC) is having a dyno day this weekend. I had planned to get down there anyway.

But I'm headed to Columbia instead.

KCIR's elevation is right at 800'Running good! That track was flat out STICKY on Friday night, best I've seen in over 5 years by a lot, it was crazy how well it was prepped. I heard later in the night the DA got down to -800. :metal: Too bad my rear end in the rx7 didn't like the new added power at all. :embarassed:

Whoever the guy was in the tower that I talked to said they had seen the DA in the -800's a couple times this year. If I had a set of balls I would of launched harder but I'm not sure the clutch would of grabbed like it has failed in the past.

I cant wait to see the RX7 make a good pass!
