Soooo.........uhm I ran a 14.8. In 50 some degree weather with a cold track. with 2.8-3.0 60 fts all day. I ended up giving up on trying to get traction.
It was so bad at Kil-Kare...I shifted to 3rd gear on one of my runs, which would've been a good one, I launched good, lowered the pressure in my tires and heated them up a little bit, but not *too* much. I held dead even with my buddies' frankenstein regal that runs 13.5's.
But that fateful shift into 3rd gear, the car's ass end slipped to the right and slipped to the left so I shut it down.
Ridiculous. I TOLD my friends that thursday was going to be a horrible day for drag racing. Infact, I TOLD my friends the good drag racing days are done for this year, track's too cold...they didn't believe me until they were running shitty times in their cars that normally do 13's and 14's ( Not heavily modded cars at all ) and even my buddies' automatic car kept losing traction when the tranny would shift.
...They believed me when they saw my stock ass LT1 do that when I shifted. =P
