last night was a long night but i finally got my car dyno tuned but still a bit confused what is a average number to expect with a bolt on lt1 mine made 261hp and 292tq on the baseline pull in the end i got 271.07hp and 298.13tq i got it dyno tuned at horsepower engineering in houston, tx i noticed a pretty big difference but would like to know what a respectable number gain for a equal modded lt1???

ram air induction system k&n filter
descreen maf
trick flow elbow
bbk 58mm bypass heater hose and port matched
bbk underdrive pulley
msd pro billet distributor, coil and 6a box
taylor spiro pro wires ngk tr55 plugs
jba shorty headers and hooker super comp. cat-back
csr electric water pump 160 stat
130,000 miles on engine and tranny
and all the my engine horsepower mods

Manual or auto?

Those numbers are about right... longtubes would help along with 1.6RR

What was the a/f ratio? How much timing is in it?

it's a automatic, timing it wasn't off by much and i believe a/f was 13.5-14.0

14.0 is a bit lean, 13.5 would be fine.

timing not off by much? I meant how many degrees of timing are in it during WOT.

With an auto, those numbers are fine.

The numbers look good, but the only problem I see is that a lot of the mods you did either didnt have any affect on hp or wernt needed at this hp level. The descreened maf and elbow really dont have any effect on hp, the 58 mm tb is WAY to big and will only hurt your throttle response. The underdrive pulleys and elec water pump help on parasitic loss, and I dont know much about jba headers. Dynos arent the be all and end all for hp. A good (or bad) dyno operator can make a dyno read what ever he wants. Take it to the track and thats the true test of hp. If its an auto, get a converter, that makes a huge differance. Hope this helps, and always ask a lot of questions before making a mod. Guidance and knowlage if free for all. Eric L
