I'm shopping for a supercharger pulley for my T-trim. I have a 355 LT1 and will use a 7" crank pulley. I would like to get at least 12 lbs of boost, no less than 10. Searching around, I found this 2.80 pulley made by vortech: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=44. Anybody use this style? It says it's a high traction, less belt slippage model. Anybody recommend a different style or size, for that matter?

What is your current setup? How much boost are you seeing right now, and with what pulley?

You will need one of these if you get one Vortech. The ones you linked to do not work on LT1's.

I run a 7"/2.75" combo on my 383 with AFR 210 heads and I've seen 14.9 psi @ 6100 RPM.
I'm guessing with less cubes and depending on your cam and heads that you would see even more unless you have some incredibly flowing heads on a 355. My guess is the 2.95" would get you where you want to be.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up buying a 2.95 vortech pulley (not the one in that link though) from summit, they sent me a version that didn't work anyways for lt1 applications, I sent it back and am waiting for the appropriate version.
But maybe you guys can help me with this question, I have a 7" ASP crank pulley, and it has that lip on the backside of it. This lip doesn't slip inside of the ATI pulley, instead, it's the same diameter of my ATI's center opening. Therefore, the ASP doesn't sit flush on the ATI. Sooooo, should I have this machined down? I bought the ATI used thinking there wouldn't be a problem. Maybe I got the wrong ATI model?
BLOWNDFIZ, you have what I hope to have one day, I stroker motor with 210's. How do you like it? Any numbers on it? I have stock ported heads/355. It had an S-trim and now, a T-trim and aftercooler. I'm waiting to get my pcm back so I can get this bitch back on the road. 60lb. injectors and Lonnie's dual pump kit are on, I just got to get my pulley situation completed so I can make it happen.

Did you order the pulley direct from ASP? If so I'm sure they asked you, they did me, what balancer I was using. If not then whoever you bought it from you might ask them what balancer the pulleye was made to fit. I ordered mine to fit my Fluidamper, but I had already machined the Fluidamper to work with a stock Vortech Pulley. That being said I'm sure you will need to either machine the pulley or balancer just be sure that the belt lines up and everything sits flush or you will be in for major headaches.

I have a ball with this car every time I get behind the wheel. I'm getting ready to put her under the knife again, switching to a single plane, getting rid of the Opti, adding a bigger cam, and putting tubular front end on. Currently at 15 psi I don't have dyno numbers, but at 9 psi she made 560RWHP on pump gas and 21 degrees of timing.
Good luck on your project let us know how things go.

Unfortunately, I received both the ATI and ASP used from different people. I'm sure it'll be a simple fix. Like you said, I will make sure my SC pulleys are in good alignment before machining.

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I'm looking forward to every stage of changes.:metal:
