so theres a thread on a Ford Focus forum where one of its members claims to have beaten an LT1 Formula with his CAI only car. ive been trying to talk some sense into him, but hes adamant that his car is actually stronger. this Formula his friend has must have a blown head gasket, a bad opti, or is really a 3.4 V6. the ignorance is very fusterating

anyway, would anyone with a near stock LT1 wanna run this guy to show him what the difference in power between his car and a LT1 really is? id do it but i dont have a LTX fbody, and i live in Delaware

someone who owns both a focus and a thirdgen posted that thread over on www.thirdgen.org (http://www.thirdgen.org) and thats how i found out about it (i have a 86' V6 DD firebird)

as for the two posting locatons, i originally posted it on the racing forum, but afterwards noticed that it hardly got any traffic. so thats why i put up a second post in the tech section

i figured no one would really be interested in running a near stock focus - waste of gas and all - but who knows... maybe someone would. it just got on my nerves how utterly ignorant these guys were... bashing the LT1s and actually thinking a 15 sec focus was stronger than one. guess it just got to me

As long as your car is not a crazy built track monster I think it would make a good race. Whats all added to your car, about how much power are you putting down?

Hell if we can get enough people interested we can make this a full on meet FF and LTXT, I'm sure as long as the egos stay in their cages we can have a good time meeting some good people. Really incase everyone here didn't know not all focus owners are obsessed with 4cyls, we have many members with lots of knowledge/wrench time of other cars and engines.

Immokalee Regional is an hour up the road for me; and it's not much more than that for him to come down here; but if he needs it to be Bradenton... that's fine.

I love racin' her period... But if I have to go all the way to Bradenton to run him; I want your assurance that I will have plenty of room to shame that little dude for all he's worth on YOUR Focus site. My guess is that he won't show... But if he does; we'll help hom to as much as as he can stand.

Now with that said... Immokalee is a much smaller track than Bradenton and the crowd HATES my car.

We can be sure that if someone came down to Grudge match me, the tower would make a HUGE show of it; and if he takes me down; he would be a ROCK STAR for a night... that's for sure.

I don't have anything worth running down a drag strip, all I have is a short ram intake, full 2.25 exhaust and a short shifter for performance. I also have a full Ford racing suspension for the fun factor of the car, I'm just here to try and keep the peace while organizing a small race for some people. As for Turbofocus all I know about his car is it has the Roush Turbo kit, thats all I know but I have not gotten into details with him before I know he has more work than that.

Thanks I really wanted a Blue SVT too but since it was HER car she wanted silver. I love the color, it stays clean so much longer than my blue. LOL You looking for a Cobra or Lightning, either way I will envy you. I want both but with kids being planned in the near future I might be selling my 06 for something I can get a car seat in and out of easy. :)

Our meets are really less about cars and more about our parties, we usually do friday night drag strip but have cut down on it recently since we have found local Autocross near the meets. Mainly its about seeing friends, I really hope to see a lot of LTX people show up the more cars the better.

It was/is labeled one of the best cars developed by ford, thats why the standard focus was brought over here. Sorry I had to edit my post, I'm not boasting about how the focus engineering is great. To be honest, I call mine a rattle wagon it has gotten more squeaks and rattles over the years its hard to drive it with the radio off. I'm not bashing people on this site or the site or the cars, I just get aggravated when someone with so little knowledge about a car feel the need to open their mouths and say something so ignorant they sound just like the people they hate so much. If you think I would TRY to make EITHER of my Focus' as fast as a procharged Camaro your way off. I like my car, I like the mileage I get and its fun to drive on these curvy back roads. Thats why I have one, and incase you didn't read my post earlier I am currently looking into selling my 06 for something for family friendly. As for me going through Pennsylvania I'm not worried, he is a officer and I respect that what I don't respect is his LACK of respect for others choices. If he just said he doesn't like the front or the intercooler then fine but he insisted on blasting something he had no clue about.

In the end sonny jim... there's no honor in stupidity.
