I went to the track wednesday night, and my last run was with a Mach 1. It seemed to be stock (I couldnt tell because I dont know much about them and it didnt sound modded), and it was in an event at NYIRP (New York International Race Park, which is a 1/4 mile drag strip) called the Street Car Shootout which New Era and a few other local shops put on.

My Formula will not launch good. Its doin 2.2 60ft's and was just driving me nuts (first time at the track). They were doing a "pro tree" setup for the lights or something like that, and I had no idea they were using that for the runs today. It was something they usually didnt do but put it in place for the event (during warm-ups). My first run ever went:

R/T: 1.057
60': 2.366
330: 6.277
1/8: 9.444
MPH: 77.98
1000: 12.143
1/4: 14.409
MPH: 99.43

Now that I know were using a pro-tree light system... It gets a little better (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_lol.gif)

R/T: .902
60': 2.206
330: 6.084
1/8: 9.231
MPH: 78.71
1000: 11.915
1/4: 14.169
MPH: 99.93

Getting the hang of it a little more... Run 3 was pretty much identical to run 2, but I trapped 1mph faster.

Now for the run with the Mach 1.

My formula:
R/T: .796
60': 2.230
330: 6.083
1/8: 9.210
MPH: 79.04
1000: 11.875
1/4: 14.118
MPH: 100.37

Mach 1:
R/T: .700
60': 2.085
330: 5.914
1/8: 8.982
MPH: 82.02
1000: 11.633
1/4: 13.920
MPH: 95.70

It was a great race, and I thought it was worthy of posting. I just wish I could have launched better and got my 60' down so I could have possibly beat him!

Looks good man just get that 60 foot down and youll be in the 13s easily. I cant believe the mach one only trapped 95 mph.

Yeah, he tapped the brakes at the very end to make sure he didnt brake out in the event. We were in the 13.5 class, and he was running consistant 13.7's in warm-ups. I think he was trapping like 103 or something like that.

It was still a pretty good race though.

ok, i thought it was low b/c they are supposed to be able to run low 13s and i believe some have seen 12s stock.

I was curious to why the Mach on trapped 95 too but since you explained.. that takes care of that. I raced an 03 a couple months with a catback and we were door to door to about 110 and he started nosin out on me. What's done to your car?

Thanks. Yeah, I threw the stuff in my sig after I made my first post. :D.

It should be in the 13's, but I got very shitty bald(ish) street tires on it. lol. I'm hoping to find a used set of wheels and tires locally and try going back to the track and getting my 60ft down. I'm guessing it should have a 13.7 - 13.8 in it if I can get it down just a little bit .

With your trap 13.s are in the future with traction. I would of thought it would trap higher with your LTs though. I also went to the track lastnight and ran a 13.9 at 101.5 with a 2.24 60ft. :( my car doesnt like to 60ft either. I trapped 102 but that time it spun through most of 1st peddling it.

When I get my LTs and ORY on... if I can't get deep 13s I'm gonna be disappointed. And hopefully 106-107.. Maybe the air quality is better here...but I doubt it.. after all it is the state of misery.

Yeah, I was kinda disappointed. It was my first time at the track with the car though. After I get some better tires I should be in the 13's. Traction was my worst enemy last wednesday.
