i was wondering how hard it is to put a torque converter on a 4l60e. also whats holding the transmission on the block? just the bolts around the top of the back of the block? thanks in advance

6 bolts with a 14 mm head hold the trans to the block. Then you have 2 dowel pins for alignment to wiggle the trans off of. You will want to disconnect the tc from the flexplate first (3 15mm bolts) so you don't damage the trans pump. You'll have to take off the driveshaft and torque arm too, but thats easy.

After that you just add at least a quart of fluid to the converter and reverse the process.
