let me know your remedy for a sore throat...

it feels like i ate sandpaper for breakfast, i usually dont wake up until 7am and go to work at 8... today i went to bed at 12 and woke up at 4:15 because of my sore throat :(... i HATE this, everytime i try to drink something its hell

i drink hot tea with lots of sugar, the sugar will act as a kind of syrup (if you let it settle to the bottom) that will coat your throat for a while.

Same here, gargle warm salt water. I've done it but I'm not sure if it works, it could have just been a coincidence that it went away after a little while.

i got a bit of a cold right now, and the second i woke up i downed some buckleys. if i wasnt awake then, i sure was after
seemed to do the trick, but if it was persistant, then gargling salt water and tea and honey

For any cold or flu, I drink lots of gatorade or powerade, seems like it passes faster. I think the only thing that helped at night was to not let the room temperature get too cold, the colder the air, the worse it seemed for my sore throat. Might have been because it was winter and air is dryer during the winter. Maybe try some horrible tasting coughdrops from I think Vicks or some brand like that during the day.

Honestly, my mother and uncle are doctors... so I just WHINE to them and they give me meds... and I load up on NYQUIL..... mmmmmmm cherry NYQUIL......

actually drink some salt water. your body can handle drinking some salt water, so mix a little up and gargle if you want, and drink it down. most bacteria that cause the sore throats can't grow in the presence of salt, so drinking salt water basically kills them.
