For some reason my coolant temp sensor is not responding with my computer. I was wondering if there is a series of steps that I could take in order to find out what is wrong with it, being either the sensor itself, the connector, or the wiring.
Thanks for the help,
Ben.

Are you sure the sensor is good? Don't go to autozone or advance and get one because they suck. Go to a dealership.

Thats the first I have heard about Autozone sensors being junk. On the other side I haven't really asked around about it either.
FWIW I have had an Autozone temp sensor in my Z for years and not had any issues. But when it comes down to it, I don't really think the dealer sensor should be too much more.

My autozone sensor has been fine. Just pick one up, they're like $15-$20. Its likely your problem unless you fried the pigtail on your headers or something.

Which sensor is it? The one in the side of the block is the coolant temp sensor for your gage on the dash. This one has nothing to do with the computer. If it's not working, the sensor or the wire is probably bad.
If it's the one coming out the front of the water pump, it's the ECT sensor. This does interact with your computer and tells the fans when to turn on/off. There are several components to check with that one.
