I've heard they're good and bad. I've personally only dealt with them friends Mustangs and haven't had any issues. I think the people who complain never gave the clutch a chance to break in or had it improperly installed to begin with.

I have had spec clutches for years in my Z. The earlier models years back had some flaws, and many people said they were junk. I will say they have stepped up considerably with their quality about 5 years ago. Now I think of them as top notch. Definatly the best clutch you can get to hold up to the power level you want for the money they cost. Especially compared to other clutches on the market with the same TQ/Power rating.
You do need to break them in properly (500 miles, in town dirving with no WOT).
My current clutch in my Z is a SPEC stage III, rated at about 100 less RWTQ than I currently have. And it has lasted for years with some serious abuse (multiple slick runs at the track, + my drag radials hook up completely on the street, even in 1st gear). It finally showed some signes of wear last year, and I will be putting in the appropriate clutch for the power level I am at (a SPEC stage III+ is what I should have gotten in the first place).
