College is more of a vacation than anything!!

So, since I've been laid off from my job and go to school 8am - 10:50am on monday, wednesday, and friday... And 9:30am - 10:50 tuesday and thursday, I've done more relaxing now over the past few days than I have all summer! :laugh:

This is awesome. I'm liking this. I got home at about 11:15 today, turned on sportscenter, watched 2 episodes (repeats), then sat in the front yard for a half an hour with my german shepard staring at my Trailblazer wondering when it was going to turn into a T/A or vette. Didnt happen, so I got annoyed with the roof rack and took it off. After that, I made some mac n' cheese, went in the pool for about an hour, then came inside and fell asleep watching sportscenter again. :laugh:

I'm really loving all this free time I havent had in the past 2.5 years! I cant wait for retirement!!! :D

Not really looking forward to the school work picking up though. That will really kill my relaxation. :(

i lol a little at the turning into a ta or vette....i think we have all done that at some point in our life..i used to look at my moms hyundai and think"why wont you just turn into a 69 SS,,just for this weekend and then you can change back"lol

Yeah I have sooo much more free time this semester than I did during the summer. Calc 2 and Physics homework is freaking me out though. Slave away for hours on one assignment, and another is due. SUCKS. But I only have 2 classes a day except for thurs/fri and they all get out before noon. Win!

i hear ya. no more 40+ hour work weeks... class on mon/wed till noon and till 2 on tues/thurs. they are trying this whole business school not open on friday thing... gonna have to say, I'm likin it! lol but with senior classes come alot of studying and hw, so its not all fun and games..

Looks like its less of a soccer-mom vehicle now.

It still is one, dont get me wrong, but it looks a lot cleaner.

And I agree with college, up until I transfered to siu Ever since highschool I have been up at 6am almost everyday for either work or school, But now I am sleeping in till 11am almost 4 days a week

I have a lot more free time at college then when I was working +40 hour weeks over the summer.

Homework still sucks and takes up quite a bit of time though.

Yeah, but now I gotta park it away from everyone (or at least try to) if I dont want dents and scratches all over it. Its a risk I'm willing to take because I think it really cleans it up.

I wish I could say the same. There's the occasional professor that makes you work your ass off to get a mediocre grade. I got one this semester. That, on top of my work load is going to keep me incredibly busy this semester.

Also gotta take some time off soon and go back home and help my pops around the house and get the Chevelle about done.

From what I can tell so far, most of my professors are pretty cool. They just expect you to get the work done on time and are pretty laid back. They all have a sense of humor too which is kinda cool.
