i did it to 2 of my old mazda pickups. one ticked and didnt smoke b4, and after it smoked like a cannon. on the 2nd it already smoked like a beast and it made it stop smoking a bit earlyer. so i wont use the stuff again but some have good experience with it

I have used it on my old V6, and my TA. My friend's Eclipse and friend's Montero Sport. All of us have had nothing but good effects. It'll smoke like a son of a bitch when you turn it back on and idle it... Just do it properly and it will be great.

You can feel regained throttle response immediately

I did it on my 94 formula and it did nothing but good for me. I know a few people have had negitive results, but those are few and far between. I would say do it.

I used it on my truck with 250,000 miles on it. It smoked like crazy while doing it but stopped after. No bad side affects but couldn't tell a diff either.

It's supposed to smoke after you do it for a while. Just let it idle, or drive it off. Here's a prime example lol..

It's like a cleaning solvent. It gets rid of all the gunk and shit inside the motor, even carbon buildup on the pistons. Although keeping that buildup keeps your compression higher :jest:

When I did mine, I had a new set of sparkplugs ready to go on,and I removed the oxigen sensors just to be safe.

i've never done it either but this is how i heard how to use it

Purchase 2 cans:

wait for an oil change.

-add 1/2 of a can to the new oil and add the other whole can into a full tank of gas.
-after about 250 miles, change the oil.
-have the car at an idle, and pour 2/3 of the 1/2 can into the brake booster line, slowly so the car does not die. then pour the rest at once to kill the motor.
-start it back up and drive it all off.

Me personally.. I would never add it to my oil even in low amounts. That would be the same as adding water or fuel to your oil and can cause cylinder wear and bearing wear.

I would let the entire can get sucked up by the brake booster line. It's pretty important to change your oil soon after you do this. All that junk that you just broke loose isn't all going out the exhaust. Alot of it will go into the oil.

I did my own seafoam test to see the effectiveness of the product. I had a 200,000+ mileage honda b18 engine in a honda crv that I was about to have rebuilt and right before i pulled her apart i did the brake booster vaccum line procedure.

You can see the bottom of the intake ports are clean and the sides and top are not. Thats where seafoam trickled down.

Now here is the head were the seafoam probably splashed around, the valves and intake ports are clean yet the sides are still dirty where the seafoam didn't hit.

I personally believe that running seafoam threw a DIRTY intake will have a similar effectiveness as porting the head. You are improving the airflow and unshrouding the valve from carbon and dirt buildup.

Seafoam is almost fail safe if used properly.

As stated above it needs to be done immediately before an oil change. Suck half the can through a vacuum hose, let it sit for 10 min, and then go beat the living piss out of the car till it stops smoking. You'll be amazing what blows out your tailpipe.

FWIW I used to Seafoam my old LT1 every 20K, and when I pulled the intake to do the gasket leak fix I could damn near eat dinner off my intake ports.

This is exactly the kind of results I have heard about, and I plan on doing it to the Dakota pretty soon. I am sure its never been done, and I just hit 116,000 today. I will let you all know how things look when it finally pops a gasket and things need to come apart. :D
