I have a 95 Z/28 and want to put white LED lights behind my factory gauge cluster, I went and bought (5) WLED-CWHP6 Wedge Base Bulbs, Cool White. I realized after I ordered them that the thread I got the idea from was a writeup for 97+ Camaro's http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.ls1tech.com/get/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cry.gif. So my question is, can I use these bulbs in my 95 gauge cluster or no? I now know the 95 needs more than just 5 bulbs so if these work I'll just order the extra ones needed, if not I'll get the cheaper ones that work for my car. Anyone that knows about this let me know, thanks. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.ls1tech.com/get/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif

You would need 2 more for the instrument cluster for sure. After researching the topic quite a bit, I assembled a list of the most recommended bulbs and went with those. If I recall correctly, some advised against the HP ones (the ones you ordered) in the dash to avoid hot spots. Not sure how accurate it is -- they might work just fine. Those would probably work good in the glove box and center console though. Kinda wish I had put those in my Autometer gauges actually. The following is a list of a complete swap I did not too long ago:

1 NEOx-W (Dimmer/Headlight)
2 74-W (HVAC)
3 74-WHP (Doors and shifter)
7 WLED-CW5 (Instruments)
2 WLED-CW5 (Glove box/Center console -- I tried one of the expensive LX versions and was not happy)
1 RL4410-xHP9 Rigid Loop Festoon (Dome)
2 44mm 4410-xWHP12 (Map lights)
4 WLED-CW5 (Autometer gauges)
2 BA15 30-LED (Reverse bulbs)

The rest of the exterior bulbs I purchased from autolumination.com so that I could also pick up the switchback towers. I know there are quite a few different threads and opinions. Hope it all helps.
