I wish you had this a week ago!! Any Idea how hard it would be to do with the motor in the car?

I think it would be a pain to do with the motor in the car. I think it can be done. It's been a while but it can be done. I took mine out with the motor in the car. If you look at this picture there is a bolt to the left of the large hole that you need to get the bolt out of on the engine side of the firewall. I think I actually broke my heater box because I could get the bolt out at first. Now I know it is there.

As soon as the laser cutter gets them done I will be picking them up.

This is intended to remove both the heater and a/c. I think there have been a few people that used panel like this and modified it and the inside heater assembly to run heat and only remove the a/c.

Hey Jake do you know what all needs to be done in order to keep the heater? I already have most of my a/c stuff out all that's left is the box. Oh and do you know how much the a/c box/core weighs?

I don't think it would be that hard. I think you will need some fiberglass cloth and resin to direct the heat in the right direction. If you remove the AC stuff from the engine capartment I think it will be noticable(what I'm talking about) Then you just need to mark out the heater lines and trim the cover.

There was a good thread on LS1tech a while back. I think it was MERV or MARV. He did the 6.0 swap but he is always posting in the LT1 section. But his thread if I remember right had some good pictures.

Is that a pic of what needs to be done to keep the heater? If so I'm gonna start taking that stuff out and after I get it out I'll order one of these sweet block off plates from you.
