I just set my 75 gallon tank back up, and we have the following inside:
2x Pictus cats
2x Iridescent Sharks
2x Colombian Sharks
2x Black Convicts (cichlid)
2x Opalescent Gourami's
1x African Cichlid
and the mack daddy:
1 x Needlefish -- This guys is a f-in' assassin. He wasn't going for anything dead, but I put a rosey red in the tank and he went to freaking town. He gets 1 per day now. I'm going to try to get some vid one of these days.

nice. i had a 55gal setup with 4 pirahnasfrom babys to 8 ins, 3 discus 5ins, 3 placostamus 1-7ins, and 6 tetra. they were all fine livin together for the first 6 months till the pirahnas got big enough to hunt. like 4 ins. Well first our tetras started to dissappear at night then we started to see bites out of our discus. eventual those were completly gone. then they started to eat the placos. and those are armored. well eventually we just had the pirahnas left. we would buy like 2 dozen feeder fish and dump those in once a week. we could put a chicken leg in the tank and it would be cleaned off in mins. when we moved i sold them. they were great fish to have so much fun to watch eating

I have a 55G setup with 2- 8" Oscars 1 red and 1 red albino. 1- 6" pictus cat and a 8" Red Pleco.
I had 2 Jack Dempsies but they died (Starved themselves) cause the Oscars are pigs when they eat.
I am currently looking to get rid of the Oscars now.

I used to have a decent sized fish tank. IDK what size, but it wasnt anything too crazy. Just a few fresh water fish. Dont know what they were called, but I remember they looked funny so I picked them out.

sean you shouldnt be mixing south American and african Cichlids. They will prob kill each other.
I had tons of fresh and saltwater tanks over the yrs, n time to maintain them so i gave it up.

I've had one of those before. They are fun to watch eat. Every two weeks or so I give my fish about 30 Rosies. There are never ANY left the next morning.

I used to have a 50 gal with a couple Oscars. Cool fish!! It just got to be too expensive and cleaning the tank was a pain too. I'd get another one but it's going to be something simple.

They're actually doing well. With the fake driftwood pieces I have everyone has their space.
I'll post some pics once I clean the sand up a tad. One thing, playground sand makes GREAT natural looking substrate.....much better than the normal gravel.

Here's a couple of crappy cell phone pics of my tank. One of my opalescent gourami's kicked it over the weekend, found carcass remains today when I was doing some scrubbing.

And......here's my resident assassin having a snack. This was his third today (Had a couple of casualties on the way home so he got them too).
