What computer is in a 97 trans am? obd1 or 2???

96 and newer vehicles contain OBDII.

Just noticed on the list of mods done to the car that the former owner wrot tht he converted to obd1 for drivability. I'm new to f-bodys and gms in general but I thought that obd2 was more user friendly. Some one enlightin me.

Nope other way around. OBD2 has alot of extra emmision crap to deal with. OBD1 is less sensitve
