I wouldn't post something online that I wouldn't tell to a cop anyway. It's nice being able to ask you legal questions though, so I don't mind a bit.
I recently made a flier for a car show that was put together to raise money for disabled and fallen officers.

Obama thinks cops are stupid.:D My wife was a cop with HCSO for 21 yrs with 5 yrs DEA and we both own and race Camaros. On our local board we have several officers and a lawyer. We have a legal section where they help us out if nessessary. A buddy of mine is a detective with a twin supercharged Vette. My nephew was a city cop for 20 yrs along with his wife.
Cops sit on the crapper the same way I do. Only difference is their job is more dangerous. One of my favorite characters is a good friend with gang intervention in Pinellas Co. A HUGE Black guy. A few yrs back he and few of his buddies would clear the way for us at a spot in the wee hrs of the morning. Times have changed. I have nothing but respect for all police officers unless they show me otherwise.

Nah, no cop fear here. Cops are some of the best people in the world to party with! Most of the cops I know are regular cool people. They just happen to pick law enforcement as a career. A couple are the typical douchebag, "I got picked on in high school so now the world must pay" type assholes but for the most part, they all good shyt. Hell, i'm playing golf with the local chief of police on Sunday. He's a cool ass dude! I just helped his daughter move to Deerfield, IL.

nothing wrong with a cop on here as long as your not one of the ones from my town :D, most of them are assholes... your just like any of the rest of us, you just get extra kudos for going out and doing what you do every day. speaking of legal questions, ive got one for you or anyone else who knows, if im not speeding, have nothing illegal or any defects on my vehicle or doing nothing suspicious can a cop tail me extremely close or is this just unecessary? is there a certain reason they do this, maybe trying to get you to do something illegal? idk, but ive had this a few times where im not speeding or anything and a cop will come withing a few feet of my bumper and just tail me for blocks until either i park somewhere or just turn off. i understand theyre out patrolling but i find it a little bit dangerous that theyre following me that close for no apparent reason.

without being the actual cop that is "tailing" you I couldnt realy tell you. I know there have been times that I have gotten pretty close to a car when the license plate is difficult to read. If its a two lane road I try to stagger so Im not tail gating, but on one lane roads its sorta unavoidable... I try not to make it a habit cuz I dont want to wreck another car.... lol. (non were my fault)

ahh fair enough, maybe our cops are a lil slow and it takes em a few blocks to read my license plate from a few feet away :), i guess that does make sense tho.

You seem to be a pretty reasonable guy, and are at least socially adept; a trait often depleted from the social aspect of many police officers. Unfortunately I have a serious problem with another person having a significant load of authority over myself, and when they are on a "mission to get me" I think that is unfair. Police have an extraordinary load of power, and can affect people's lives based on their own discretion. Maybe it is all of the philosophy, psychology, and sociology classes i am taking, but i don't think that anyone should have that much authority over another, since we are both human. Laws are manmade, occupations are manmade, so what gives someone else the right to influence my life so much

I can understand your concern. Also let me say that we as humans do require being "policed". Im not saying everyone, but even alot the law obiders would be worse with out the rules/laws and ability to have Police to enforce it. I understand that there are many people that make it through the cracks and do become Police Officers, but in time they usually wash out. All we can do is hope the standards and testing processes become higher as to reduce the Officers that we are both describing as the negative examples....
Thank You for the compliment and I wanted to let you know you speak in a very intelligent manner.
