how to vent a/c system

I was planning on having my dealer do this for me, but seems how my opti fried I really can't take it to them. I'd like to remove all the A/C junk now that I'm under the car and have most of the accessories out of the way. My dealer actually told me to bubble the system into a bucket of water if I can't take it to them. I was curious where I can get the line you install to vent the A/C system? Do I need to buy one of those A/C recharge kits to get the correct line?

yeah its r 134a system so it doesnt hurt the atmosphere

Not true. It still hurts the atmosphere, just not as bad as the stuff they had before (R-12).

You can vent it to the atmosphere, but your doing damage.

Also, lots of pressure is involved here... So be careful when your venting the system.
