How the hell do some of you guys keep the elbow that connects to the TB from blowing off in boost?! I hit MAYBE 4 psi on this build and I heard POP and my car went into safe mode. The discharge tube from the s-trim and the elbow both popped off.

That is strange to me. I've never had a single problem in going on 10 years with a Vortech on my car. Started out at 6psi, now up to 15 and still using worm style clamps.
Only thing I can think of is maybe the clamps were not actually seated well to the TB mounting flange. Same for the discharge.

mine did this once. take them off and clean everything with rubbing alcohoel to make sure they dont have any oils or dirt on them. then make sure your clamps are very tight

After running the vehicle and getting it up to operating temp a few times... Let it cool and re-tighten all the clamps.

I have an LPE 58mm TB, and when I'd start hitting above 12#'s of boost it sometimes would pop off (really annoying). I ended up getting a friend of mine weld a small bead line around the lip of the TB to give the clamp something to hold on to (the LPE TB's lip is angled in so the tighter you would tighten the clamp the more likely it would be to coming off).
Then just get a good clamp like I did. Sorry I don't have a good pic of the welded bead line.
After the bead line was welded, I had no more issues, and I currently see 15-ish #'s of boost on a cold day.
