Verts or hardtop/t-top?

Thought this is a legit topic to discuss...

What do you prefer and why?

I love convertables. I've owned a hardtop Camaro, Formula with t-tops, and a Camaro coupe with no t-tops. I loved my Convertable. It was awesome in the summer time. It was a V6 though :disagree:. Made for a kick ass DD! Wished my Formula was a convertable, but it was nice at least having t-tops. Nothin like driving and being able to look anywhere you want with no blind spots!!

Yeah, theyre a little heavier, but all you have to do is add more power than you need and that makes up for it. :D

The person who bought my 'vert from me said that he was going to swap a LT1 in it since it had kinda high milage (150K), but I dont know if they ever went through with it. I thought I saw it on Craigslist last year in real rough shape with the V6 still in it, but it was the perfect candidate for a swap. It was very clean (thanks to a new paintjob the lady who owned it before me had) and the interior looked like new. I loved the car.

My next F-Body is definately going to be a convertable (LS1 :face_shocked:).

T-tops.... for me... my 2 bird was t-tops, my 96 M6 is t-tops, and my 95 A4 was t-tops.... guess it started with KNIGHT RIDER.

I enjoy having my F-Body in hard top. Quieter, no leaks, couple of extra bars for stiffness.

I currently have t tops. I love them. Id never buy a convertible, personal preference.

Althought i wouldnt mind a hardtop. Either or

I like t-tops. Vert's are cool, I've had one before ('96 sebring...stop laughing). To me though, verts only look cool when the tops are down. The rest of the time they just look odd. Not just f-bodies, but most convertables.

i like my hard top....unless there was a way to convert my Z to a Targa top....for some reason i just love the look of them.

and i had t tops in my iroc....(fail) but they were kinda cool. my hardtop z28 is ftmfw tho

I like t-tops, but I think they should be reserved for Trans Ams (as opposed to Formulas). My car would look funny as anything but a hard top. I'd love to get a newer V6 DD with t-tops though.. just not on my race car!

And I hate convertibles unless it's a roadster.
